Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts OST headed for retail, iTunes photo

When I think of my favorite videogame tunes from the N64 days, the sounds of the original Banjo-Kazooie often fill my head. I mean, at the mere mention of "Freezeezy Peak," I immediately hear the opening to that world's song.

The great thing about Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts -- at least as far as soundtracks are concerned -- was that it seemed to be a mishmash of fan favorite songs from the beloved first game while keeping them fresh using techniques I'm not familiar with. I may not know how it's done, but I know what I like.

Word is out that Sumthing Else Music Works will be releasing the Nuts & Bolts OST on June 30 at not only retail, but through its digital music store as well as on iTunes. You already know how I feel about it, but what about you guys? Am I just drunk on nostalgia for the series or what?

Nah, you may be a tiny bit drunk on the series nostalgia, like myself, but the soundtrack still is in fact completely awesome.

I need me some of that Banjoland remix for mp3. Now that was a fantastic track!

I didn't think the Nuts & Bolts soundtrack was particularly memorable, but it wasn't bad either. I wouldn't mind getting it as like, a contest prize. Hint hint.

Just needs three whole minutes of pause music you sometimes get that's from battletoads.

The Banjoland song alone is worth it, but this features some amazing music. My only problem is that the soundtrack relied way too much on using bits and pieces of older songs instead of going for something new and exciting, kind of like a lot of the game. Still though, I'm all on that shit.
