Gorgeous iOS game BADLAND is back with a release date

9:00 PM on 03.14.2013

It's been quite some time since we last checked in with Frogmind's sidescrolling iOS game BADLAND, but the team is back with good news. The title is confirmed for an April 4, 2013 release on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch as a Universal App. The art direction sells itself, so rather than listen to me blabber on, check out this new trailer.

In addition to 40 single-player levels like the one shown above, BADLAND has local multiplayer for up to four people that will undoubtedly encourage dirty tactics. "It’s completely okay to push your rivals to spinning circular saws in order to survive," writes Frogmind. Perhaps best of all, there are no in-app purchases to be found here.

Music-making game Cosmic DJ has a corgi in it!

This past weekend, I found myself running through the crowds of the PAX East show floor, pushing people out of the way to get to the Indie Megabooth, where Cosmic DJ was waiting for me. As a musician and a fan of music games I would have sought it out anyway. But I found out via Twitter that the game features a corgi, so I took off running.more

I'm into Adventures in Game Development

I recently started watching Adventures in Game Development cold turkey. Falco Girigs, lead engine developer of the Elysian Shadows project, had just told me about his upcoming indie, next-gen 2D RPG for current computers and...more
