Back Moon Hunters for an interesting take on the action-RPG

Moon Hunters is a 1-4 player action RPG and is one of the first games to have joined the Square Enix Collective series of games, with an 83% approval rating. It's also a gorgeous-looking title that might very well be worth delving into with friends.

Local co-op is fully supported, but the schtick here is that you'll be "creating legends" together, which means after you head out with your crew to annihilate enemies together, your heroes will become a constellation in the sky, depending on the kind of player you were. Each world is different every time you play, with the one constant of your constellation appearing in the sky, which is actually an interesting sticking point. I'm curious to see how that works out.

Kitfox Games describes Moon Hunters as “Legend of Zelda meets Castle Crashers” or “King of Dragon Pass meets Gauntlet," but we'll have to wait to see if the game reaches its funding goal of $45,000 to pass judgment for a planned summer 2015 release on PC and Mac.

Review: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was an intelligent riff on the perils of high school -- you know, if you had thrown a murder mystery in between classes and the principal was a maniacal stuffed animal. Its sequel, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, takes a beleaguered trope and turns it on its head. This is one "trapped on a desert island" story that takes things to another level entirely.more

Sign me up for 3DS RPG Legend of Legacy

Legend of Legacy sounded pretty good on paper. Honestly, I'm easy ; they had me at '3DS RPG' already. But look at it! Look at that pop-up environmental effect! That music!  Watercolors! Shading! Big heads! The games' &n...more

Dio in Skyrim: Part 3 - Don't "Taco" To Strangers

In the third part of our ongoing investigative series on what it would be like if heavy metal pioneer Ronnie James Dio was, in fact, a mage in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In this installment, we forget more lyrics, and Max's girlfriend gets home from work, only to find a very special surprise waiting for her. Is it tacos? (Yes. That's exactly what it is.)more
