Babysitter Mama for Wii, comes with plush baby doll photo

Mama's getting out of the kitchen and into the childcare business with Babysitting Mama, scheduled to hit the Wii this fall.

Majesco announced the title today (but trademarked it awhile ago), and its hook is more surprising than you'd imagine. The thing ships with a plush baby doll that features a pocket for the Wii Remote. After tucking the controller into the doll, players will engage in 40 baby-caring activities -- feeding, bouncing, rocking, bathing, and more -- with up to six unique children.

As the father of a four-month old daughter, I ask that Majesco keep this game as far away from me as possible. I've already got enough on my plate. But for those little girls (and boys, I suppose) who can't get enough of Mama, I suppose you can say "that s**t just got real." (That's what they say, right?)

...Nothing I can say here will be productive so I'll just say that baked goods make for a delicious breakfast.

I really hope this doesn't lead to any disappointing news stories about shitty parents who play the game and let their children starve in the crib or from neglect. Then we can all have fun with the "videogames are bad" takes the media will serve up. But,as the realm of possibilities is quite endless when it comes to the outright stupidity of some people some sort of story will probably come up.

For people who don't have Wii Motion Plus and really have to move the WiiMote, will the game scold you for shaking your baby to death? :D

Majesco's attitude to women is stuck in the 1950s. Cook, garden, make simple crafts, raise infants.

And remember to use the strap, launching baby into the tele could be hard to explain.

"Playing dolls" just got digital. Though we never used to be graded on it and if we dropped baby, it wasn't a big deal... though I'm sure it will be now. :(
