A system launch in Asia isn't usually newsworthy, but when they play the competitor's music at the launch, we have to poke fun.

Above is supposedly a short clip from the Malaysia launch of the PlayStation 3. Mr. Naoi Sudo, Managing Director of Sony Malaysia, was invited up on stage at the presentation. For some reason, his "walk on" music was the "Legend of Zelda Theme," Koji Kondo's famous work for Nintendo's Zelda series of games. Awkward! What was even more awkward was the long quiet pause after the music stopped. If this happened in America or Japan, the roar of laughter would have went on for minutes.

I wonder if this was a joke. Or a fake. If not, somone surely got fired over this.

Linde don't work here no more. I rock the "awkward" like a motherfucker. Because you know what? I love awkward. I feed off of your awkward. YOU WILL MAKE AN OFFERING OF YOUR AWKWARD TO ME. I DRINK IT UP.

so this is Sony's plan. They're gonna buy Zelda from Nintendo and turn it into a futuristic game

I love how whoever put the YouTube up thinks we're too stupid to hear the Zelda music if he plays it just once, so he made sure to go through it THREE times.
