Balrog: Behind the Glory is a fan mockumentary film that explores the history of Mike Bison, known today as Balrog. You'll see his life from his early days being beaten on the playground to his swift rise through the professional boxing circuit and eventual fall from glory and involvement with Shadaloo. It's also chock full of clever Street Fighter jokes.
The film, made by ChubbyBoyFilms, premiered at EVO last weekend.

That was actually pretty good. I wonder how much money they spent making it.
Odd that they have the disclaimer at the beginning. Talking about copyright infringement at the start of a mockumentary about someone else's intellectual property seems ironic.
• Awesome fan film casts light on Balrog's history
When everyone on the stream, friends in real life, Dtoid people on twitter--basically everyone and anyone that cared about the actual fighting at EVO was saying; "What the fuck is this shit?"
NOPE.gif
But, don't let that stop you from enjoying it. Just saiyan', it was kind of stupid to the average SF fan. Gauging by the aforementioned channels, and the crowd reaction of the people actually at EVO.
I watched the entire thing(hell, I was forced to since it was on the damn stream just before AE finals) and there wasn't anything about this that made me stroke my chin with intrigue or hold my gut with laughter. And I've seen Street Fighter High.
EVO was 1 hour late (I believe) and that movie was shown right before the SSFIV finals, that's why the hate on twitter.
And some people didn't like it anyway.
This video is fucking hilarious. I don't know why one person feels the need to post negativity multiple times, but this was one of the highlights of the night! Everyone in EVO chat was laughing their asses off, and the social stream was on fire with praise.
I enjoyed it. Seemed a bit out of place to premiere at EVO (to the EVO die-hards), but it's a well-made film that I'm sure most Street Fighter fans would enjoy. I wish there were more of these for the other Street Fighter characters.
@Conrad: Rude? Nah, crude maybe. I just tell it like it is. When something is awesome, I say it's awesome. When somethings sucks, I say it sucks. It may not be the popular thing to do(being a yes-man is better how?) but at least people know they get 100% honesty from me. I try to prose as eloquently as possible, but that doesn't always translate well, obviously. ;D
Also, are you implying that you do care about my opinion when I'm not 'rude?' As someone who's always exaggerating, whether it be a 'positive' comment(came buckets, fap, HHNNNGG, etc.) or bad(this sucks, nope.gif, trololol, etc.) I wouldn't take anything anyone says too seriously. Especially when there's things like racism and genuine hatred in some of the comments as of late(not an excuse to be an asshole, I know), it seems strange that my comments specifically, stand out as rude.
TL;DR: You seem to have a problem with me, so, allow me to squash it. I kid, I joke, I sowwy. Can we just hug it out? <3
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Greatest. Street Fighter movie. EVER. :D

A) You've never played me.
B) You would like it, it's known your taste is ass. Just like your SF 'skill'
Problem? Come out from under your forums hiding place and face the mighty Bison--err--T.Hawk. Get at me, son.
And some people didn't like it anyway.
Tldr? AWESOME VID!
Hey everybody, cut Rammstein some slack. He doesn't realize that he's rude and that people don't care about his opinion when he's rude.
