I hope this game does well, though I'm not holding out too much hope.
As far as the stereotypical pros in the FGC go, if it doesn't have Capcom's name on it, it probably won't last long.
Just look at how less MK has been played in tourneys since EVO, and now the game seems to be getting towards the "cool to hate and insult" status now.

Cool but will it catch on? Between Blazblue, Street Fighter 4, Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken, will there be room for another fighting game competitor?
Glad it's closer to completion, hadn't caught my attention until now, looks a hell of a lot more polished from the last videos I watched.
This game improves exponentially every time I see it. I had a chance to play it at Gamescom and the differences between then and now are staggering.

Assuming that you're responding to Maniac's comment, what the fuck? While Marvel vs Capcom 3 is using friendly, it's not even close to a party game. The others are even less so than it.

The combo breaks were something they talked about in Destructoid's first interview with them. Which was a great interview; Holmes playing with one hand interviewing with the other.
Game looks good. If you add this in with Journey, I am Alive, Amy, and Battle Block Theatre, the future looks very good for digital games.

I like how he mentions addressing balance, and then mention custom team sizes/assists, which makes things exponentially harder to balance.
@Master Snake: Everyone hates MK because it's shit. It's severely unbalanced and technically limited. It's not even fun to mess around with.
