Sony Computer Entertainment of Australia says there are no plans for a PS3 price reduction for the Aussie folks right now. Holy crap, I had no idea those dudes were paying $999, but there it is, and there it'll stay, apparently; nor is Australia likely to see an 80GB PS3 anytime soon.
Instead, Australians' $999 gets a 60GB PS3 bundle with two games and a second controller. The games that come bundled are different depending on the territories, but it's thought that the most likely candidates are Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm. Incidentally, this is the same deal that Europe's getting, with their bundles going for €599, or so we heard this morning from Sony Europe's David Reeves.
