wow, i just love the fact that the games that drive the system are all FPSs. seriously, they could realise a system called FPS and only be designed towards FPShooters, and itll sell a shit load. thats been and always will be my biggest problem with microsofts platforms.
That barrier reef line is hilarious.
Violent games popular in a former prison colony? That's unpossible!
Vegemite is the devil in food form!
But those are some impressive sales considering the size of Australia.
MOO
thats the thing though. aparently they arent the major system sellers, at least in australia (and for that matter, US and Europe). People wonder why the japanese could give a shit about the 360? because it is a system that has literaly been designed to ultimately play halo and its immitators. Japan doesnt care. i dont care. dead rising is one of the coolest games to ever come out, but but 90% of the red blooded americans out there sure dont care about that. they want halo. And sure, other games play well on the thing, and other games played well on the original xbox, but still it will forever tied to the FPS genre. nintendo is just as bad, if not worse, as their systems are only designed to play THEIR games, and sony just ants people to have blu-ray. ok, im done now.
I wish MS would hurry the hell up and give us a Blu-Ray player. They said they would if the market for HDDVD wasn't strong enough. Just release the damn add-on, help kill HD-DVD, and hurt SCEA in the process. Isn't sacrificing your VC-1 encoder patent worth it?
Where would the PS3 be if the Blu-Ray player was no longer an exclusive perk to the system? For me, that PS3 is the only thing keeping me from buying into Blu-Ray on the cheap.
I've never met a likeable Australian.
I'm in that picture, I'm at the top left of the letter O.
That was a great day.
Jim Sterling, you elitest prick. You still harbor prejudice against your country's former prison colony? Who the fuck are you? Just kidding, I could care less. I remember hearing reports of Australians desecrating mosques in the days after 9-11. So I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for them, but I digress. 360 is the coolest! YAYS!!!
@Richard,
i just clicked on your avatar to get an up close look at it...that is fucking hilarious.
@topgeargorilla, Personally, I can't stand Japanese games. I hate turn-based play, don't really like metrosexual sprites, and I'm not a big fan of Cooking Mama and such simulators. I do like regular RPG's, but the 360 seems to be doing ok in that category this time around.
@dvddesign, I feel the same way about Blu-Ray. I wish we could kill it. It may hold more data, but I'd much rather have the in-movie experience that only HD-DVD offers. I'm not trying to get into a format debate, but HD-DVD is far from dead.
My adoration of LOTR is hilarious yo you?
Are they actually going to offset the Japan debacle? That'd make M$ feel good even though Aussie isn't a major territory.
What the hell is Vegemite anyway? I took just one whiff of some one time and had to resist the urge to start projectile vomiting like Linda Blair after downing a bottle of ipecac syrup.
yea, i bet all those Australians can now spell PACMAN World History Event. lolz
Xbox 360 makes women blow and men blunder. Can't you hear, can't you hear that thunder?
...you better run you better take cover.
And Jim, do you hate me? :(
Is vegemite like Dolemite?
