Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

When I was twenty, a guy I was dating invited me to his house to hang out. It was there I met the Korg for the first time, changing my sense of music history forever (not to mention addicting me to its icy electronic pongs and pings). For those of you that have never met the keyboard in person, its sound is responsible for quite a bit of the electronic music you've loved in the past and present alike.

This DS emulator, called "Korg DS-10 Synthesizer", allows you to manipulate some of the classic Korg sounds using the DS touch screen as your guide. It's the first fully-fledged music tool software for the DS; if I missed your homebrew DS music tool, I apologize in advance -- show us in the comments! A mysterious message at the end of the video says this product goes on sale in July of 2008 -- you can go see it at the official website. I am officially nipple-stiff for this thing.

[Thanks Aaron!]

I heard there is a cream you can buy to fix nipple stiffness.

Unfortunately I am not musically gifted to make use of such a thing. Sounds awesome though.

I'm going to start a Nintendo DS korg synth band. We're going to sound like a nerd version of The Faint. It will be glorious. Sort of like the night I hung out with Joel Peterson and told him about my The Faint "rave showers"... He said that he gets that a lot from fans. I want kids to rave shower together to my music!

I spend a lot of time playing music (www.coldhandscollective.com) ((sorry for the plug)) and I emailed this the second I saw it to my buddy to try and but immediately. AMAZING looking and Korg's electronics/synth end has really improved since the poorly built Kaoss Pad 1. The used to be just good for sound modules and great keyboards but their toys (not really toys, these things are really useful) are where its at now. (Anyone who has heard some of the weird backwards/forwards vocal mixing and scratching in a bunch of Radiohead tracks or seen them play live has seen a Kaoss Pad 2 in action. really great stuff!)

Colette, I can't believe you broke up with me after I let you play my Korg. And believe me, I don't let just anyone touch my Korg.

There, I'm better.

So looking on the website it's for Japan only (not that it would stop importers), but what I want to know is {music babble} if it can be connected as an audio input and I can put my jammins into a sequencer like Logic or DP {/music babble}

That would be fucking awesome.

Oh. My. God. My. Nipples.
I love music producing on my DS, whether it be elecktroplankton or the AXE. But, This! This would be like having a slightly retarded brother of Garageband that you can molest!

My Micro-Korg is going green w/envy. You think you can utilize the DS microphone as a vocoder? Now they just gotta put out a Roland XP-30 mod and a theremin app, and i'm set for life.

Korg had its ear close to the ground for sure. KaossDS, PulseDS, DS MIDI....all happy goodtime fun homebrew apps...but this?!? Wow. Left field. Much love to Korg and the Japanese for making NDS mainstream.

I've dreamed of this ever since I first saw the KAOS Pad. Now, if they had some sort of way for microphone inputs, that would be a instant buy.

I don't know how everyone missed this:

(C) 2008 PROCYON STUDIO CO., LTD.

That's Yasunori Mitsuda's personal studio. I think his link to this project makes it all that much sweeter. Too bad KORG didn't actively push that connection.
