Attention, PS3 fans: Braid hitting PSN today photo

Jonathan Blow's beautiful puzzle-platformer Braid has been an Xbox 360 exclusive for a very long time, but PS3 fans with a penchant for time-travel and artsty fartsy metaphors will finally get a taste of the action. The game will be arriving on the PlayStation Network today, and if you're yet to try the game out, I highly suggest you make a point to do so.

We reviewed Braid last year and results were conclusive: Braid is a superb title that demands attention. I'm really pleased to see it hit the PS3 and expand its audience, so if you're a PS3-only kind of chap, please check it out. It's really worth experiencing.

Hit the jump for the official press release.

But it hasn't got any point to the game? Why would you play it?! At least you don't run out of going-back-in-time-potion.

Since it was on the 360 for so long I was able to get it on Steam awhile back for $5. Hell of a deal. Might get it on PS3 too just because it would look gorgeous on the big screen.

I say this on every Braid topic, but this could very well be my favorite game ever. So everybody should buy it. The game looks insanely good on an HDTV.

Fuck! I played it on my friend's 360 and I know how great this game is, but I am poor at the moment and can't buy it.

I've already played it on PC, it's a fantastic game. If you haven't played it yet I would recommend you do on whichever system you own. Also:

Braid was one of the first games I've ever played that actually gave me an emotional response at the end. It was fantastic to play something like that...

I don't dislike this game, not at all. It was an enjoyable little platformer, and the time-manipulation was unique. However, the story and the writing came across as trying a bit too hard for my tastes.

It's a fun game, but I don't agree with everyone who considers it to be the second coming of Christ.

My favorite Downloadable Game ever.

Funny to see that it's still $15 after all the bullshit about Microsoft inflating that price to capitalize on hype for the game.

Braid is one of my favorite games, because it

1) Introduces an unusual game mechanic
2) Abuses this mechanic in clever ways
3) Doesn't overstay its welcome.

And regardless of how you feel about the story, the last level is a fine bit of storytelling.

I had no idea this was coming to the ps3. I might have to pick it up and see what all the fuss is about.

But what I really want to know is when is Castle Crashers coming?

I need to pick this one up. Should I go to Game Stop and buy it there and then go back to my house, or just not put on pants and download it right now!

Won't have time for this with MW2 and Assasins Creed 2 and God of War Collection and MAG and Bioshock 2 and blah blah blah... I'll have time for this sometime next spring...maybe.

Just recently tried it and was sucked in within the first minute, totally buying this for $15 as long as a good amount goes to the developers... After I get a better sound system...
