Attention EB Games: We don't want your Whopper rape photo
     Xbox 360

In a true sign of absolute absurdity, take a look at what one EB Games browser found as he hopped into his local store. Yeah, that's $7.99 for a Burger King game that now costs $.99. Way to go EB. Keep on crapping on your customers.

I laughed at the manager at my local EB when I saw them on the shelf.

That is so damn ridiculous. Selling those games for twice what they were originally priced, and EIGHT TIMES what they cost now?

I'm ashamed to have ever shopped at a Gamestop. Even more ashamed that I've worked at one.

Either way, the orginal price was like, 4$ so they're still selling a used game twice price it was orginally new.

The story, I mean. Not your thumb, Rob. I'm sure your thumb is very nice.

I'd rather not buy the games either way.

Well, don't you have to buy a meal to get them? So the games were originally 4 bucks with a 4 dollar meal. So you get the game used, for the same price, without crappy food. Maybe this was a good deal?

Now, the real question is this: if EB got a hold of a few copies -new-, what would they be charging?
Necros's Avatar

Since I'm at college and nowhere near a BK, I had my mom go pick me up the games. Except at the location near her, they are still $4 each, not $1. I told her to just grab Sneak King; no way I would pay the extremely high, expensive, out-of-reach price of $8 for the other two.

And are people surprised at EB's practices? This seems only natural considering their past practices.

For those who are okay with PS3s being re-sold on eBay for 3 times what they're worth, are you equally okay with this shit? Because it's practically the same thing.

Personally, I think they all need to be run through a wood-chipper, but I'm just throwing it out there.
Cyberxion's Avatar
Cyberxion at 02/05/2007 11:19
No, it's hardly the same thing. Why? Because those BK games might actually be worth owning.

Was that comment predictable? Yeah, but I went there anyway.
TheBrain's Avatar
TheBrain at 02/05/2007 17:22
It isn't the same thing. Ebay users drive the price up by bidding. EB set its own price, a shitty one.
Mister Disco's Avatar
Mister Disco at 02/06/2007 03:36
The price JUST changed at BK, people. Corporate probably just hasn't caught up with changing the price on it yet. There's no magic button that automatically changes and relabels everything.

Oh, and FYI, at my GS they are $2.99 used. Sorry for the double post.
