Atomic City Adventures hits PC on August 15th
After Ensemble Studios closed its doors a few years ago, the staffers went their separate ways and some even created their own development houses. Windstorm Studios is one such company that was created by former Ensemble developer Dusty Monk. Windstorm has been teasing their first project over the summer through their blog and today they have officially announced Atomic City Adventures - the Case of the Black Dragon will be launching August 15th exclusively through Impulse. Atomic City Adventures is a third-person action adventure game with an awesome retro-futuristic aesthetic where you ride hoverbikes and fight vicious robots. If you pre-order the game you can pick it up for $9.99, which is $5.00 off the original price. You can't go wrong with any game for ten bucks, so definitely look out for this one on August 15th. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)This reminds me of some gameplay for MML3... except there is more shooting on the hoverbikes here... "You can't go wrong with any game for ten bucks"
Have I got news for you... Anyhow, looks nice, but a little clunky...I'll look into it post-release. That game does not look fun at all. The best they could do for their trailer was a minute of floating around shooting boring enemies? I don't think I'd pay a dollar for that game, let alone ten. The gameplay reminded me of an early, uninspired PS1/N64 game that was still trying to figure out what to do with 3D. No amount of shiny paint and retro theme is going to fix that. 4:30 PM on 06.19.2013 Not down with Transistor yet?
