Atlus to print more copies of Radiant Historia photo

Atlus has announced that additional copies of its well-received DS RPG Radiant Historia will be printed due to fan support. Thank goodness for that! You see jokes about grabbing the company's games while you can and holding on to them dearly, but sometimes humor hits too close to home.

These copies won't include the bonus soundtrack CD, not that we'd expect them to. They'll be shipping in late March, so get your order in early if you're on the list of people who missed buying a first-run copy of Radiant Historia.

@tuoman

The reprint won't include the CD, so obviously it's not going to have the slipcover that says "CD inside."

Should be saying "Hooray! More people will get to play this great game!".

This is a great opportunity for anyone who missed out on this gem during it's first run. It's definitely one of the best games on the DS.

I grabbed the rom just when atlus posted about the reprint, now that it is coming out and I am 12 hours into the game... I'm grabbing the shit out of this game.

I still have to chuckle at this because I remember the fools that said:

"I'll wait for a price drop."

Wonder if they'll wait for one this time.

Atlus is one of the few companies that truly cares about its fans.

Also demand = money, obviously.

I bought it used so I don't think I have the CD. So now I'm one of the peasants. And in my opinion, dont freak guys, I didn't like the game.

fucking ace!!!!!!

please reprint Devil Summoner 1 from the PS2.

i mean it's the only an SMT(just for the sake of the title despite not really a SMT title) on PS2 that i haven't bought.

already bought Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 early this year, have Nocturne and Devil Summoner 2(the one with the Frost Plushie i mind you :P)

oh i forgot speaking of Devil Summoner series, how about that Special Edition of Nocturne(Maniax edition; replaces Dante with Raidou, and a new 7th ending) PS2 classic release as well remake(translated) version of Devil Sumonner Soul Hackers(Vita or 3DS???)

all in all it's good to see Atlus responding to fan requests :)

But........I want the CD, but whatever I didn't expect it in all honesty, can't wait to play the game again.

This is probably the best JRPG in... a very long time. I really hope developers take some cue's from the MANY genius ideas this game has for modernizing the genre to make it fun and playable again.

Always like it when Publishers listen to fans. Still on the fence on whether to get this or not, because I don't think I've finished ONE tactical or turn-based rpg I own... Also, with me buying a Vita and probably importing a copy of Captain Rainbow... I don't know I should pick it up. Can anyone convince me otherwise? I like RPGs, I just never have the will to finish 'em. Anyone in a position like this who DID finish this game?

@ninjapresident: I didn't finish the game, because I started playing the new Mario game and Shinobi and then I went back to school and haven't played anything in a while... but, I can't recommend this game highly enough, even as somebody who is basically done with JRPGs. The combat system is surprisingly rewarding, the music is fantastic, and the story and characters are captivating. I was totally into it, and plan on finishing it over the summer.

Also, don't worry about the cd, guys. It wasn't *that* great. Only five tracks. Play the game and hear all the music the way it was meant to be heard - running around the countryside, fighting a losing war, and traveling through time.

Late March? My birthday's in late March! Between this and Xenoblade, the old school JRPG fan in me is going to happier than a pig in mud.

WWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pre-ordered baby!

@PrinceHeir

I second that motion, I want a reprint of Devil Summoner 1 (but I do not own 2 either). I have every single SMT game other than those two. I wanted to pick up 2, but did not want to devote myself without getting to play the first.

Hahahaha, just checked in Amazon and all the wise guys with insane price tags disappeared. Glad to know, that money deserves to go to Atlus (and all people involved in this game reaching us) than to greedy opportunistic money grubbers.

I was gonna sell my copy (and other games) since I'm a bit short of money but I think I'll hold on to it.

This is awesome news. If you haven't bought this game yet, do NOT miss it this time around. It is amazing in every way. I would buy a DS for this game, if I wasn't already playing it on my 3DS.

Awww I wanted the CD toooo *sadface* oh well guess its the price I pay for missing out on the game at launch :(

Maybe a free soundtrack download? Since I just would have encoded the CD to MP3 anyhow?

Also gives me the warm fuzzys not to have to deal with what comes down to game scalpers who undoubtedly bought up stock piles of the game when it became apparent that they would probably be able to tripple their money off of them. Seriously those Dbags make Gamestop look like they are up for sainthood :P

Kudos to Atlus, I love you guys and its so rare that I get to say that in this day and age ^^

Bam, pre-ordered! I borrowed it from a friend a few months back and loved it, so I have no problem plunking down $35 for the reprint. Thanks, Atlus!

This is why I never wait on Atlus games. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Radiant Historia released last March? That's not a long time in print. Still, I'm glad for all the fans that didn't get to play this game. It really is one of the better JRPG in recent time.

By the way that header image is drop dead gorgeous. Usually concept art doesn't translate into the game, but damn I wish the game had had HD graphics just so I could roam around that spectacular drawing (in 3D of course).
