Atlus is working on an exclusive PS3 title, may be the next Persona photo

IGN's Podcast Beyond says that Atlus is working on a PS3 exclusive title, and that it might be the next in the Persona series.  They also report that Atlus is trying to figure out how they'll announce this new title, and that it may be a post-TGS announcement.

In my book, just about any Atlus title announcement is good news, but a next-gen Persona would be spectacular. Either way, it's good to know that the good people at Atlus aren't just asleep in their coffins, and that they're working through the Dark Hour to bring us great games.

C'mon Atlus, just a little hint? Can you tell us at TGS?

Must...change....pants.

Seriously, for anyone that hasn't played Persona 3 yet (on ps2), it's part dating sim, part high school sim, part rpg, part dungeon crawler, part digimon/pokemon. And while that seems like a lot of parts, it's all integrated WELL and forms a cohesive title that carries itself well and gives you lots of fun gameplay.

I am totally hooked, and would be playing it right now if I weren't a) at work (yeah you can see how hard I'm working) and b) playing Warhawk constantly.

that is all.

That's all it would take to persuade me to get a PS3 .... and possibly that rumored $400 price point.

So do you think this one is actually going to be a PS3 exclusive title or will it be another game that is PS3 exclusive only until its announced that it will come out for 360 as well?
"awwww, I didn't forget about you 360. who wants a ps3 exclusive title? yes you do. that's right. you're just the cutest little console."

ahem, sorry

@arrested - A) I bet it controls better than lair (atlus rules!)

b) I'm so there. Especially if there is brain surgery WHILE sim riding a dragon.

Sold, American!

In Persona 4, you have to rape people to get your spirits to come out. It's the only thing they could think of to top shooting yourself in the head.

I'd see this going to 360 too. Persona series isn't as well known as FF/DQ series. Atlus should be looking to expand the series more beyond Sony platforms.

The competition isn't that great on 360, so Persona would do well on there, if it didn't work out on PS3.

Date rape/dragon riding simulator. I know a couple of companies that would be super jealous.

I've been playing Persona 3 on my PS3. Thats almost like playing an exclusive. Can you believe the game is really 80 hours long?

If emo had a video game, this would be it. Just check that dude out. It looks like a Myspace picture. His hair covering one eye 'n' shit. Fake pistol pointed at his head. He's the first video game scenester.

In all realness, I've never played it. People say it's good though. I'm probably never going to try it though. Don't own a PS console.

no one would buy Persona on Xbox 360.

they'd be too busy with their halos and their bioshocks and whatnot.

Awesome. The PS3 needs all of the Japanese developer support it can get. Still probably gonne be a while before we see this game come out.
