Still was looking forward to getting my hands on the game
Very sad if they don't bring it over. I created a Japanese PSN account just for the demo =(
that wasn't there yesertday i checked. I think Atlas be trollin. They probably don't have any plans to announce it yet
Come on, Atlus, we expect better from you. :(
I hate to break this to everyone but companies do listen to their consumers if enough people make a stink about it. Instead of feeling like you can't do anything and go "fuuuuck", "atlus be trolling", "it might come out" or "I'mma gon' import it", why don't you fire up your e-mail client or bust out a pen a paper, find out who you can write to at Atlus USA and Atlus Japan and tell them you want to see Catherine in America!
If writing letters has worked in the past, it can sure as hell work now. If everyone wants this as bad as they say they have for the past few months, we can try and make it happen for real instead of speculation about whether or not it will.
Seriously, what are you waiting for? Do it.

If anyone has a direct email address for Atlus, please pass it along. I get the Atlus Faithful newsletters, but I don't think you can reply to that address.
Really!? USA gamers are always screwed over when there is an odd WTF type game from Japan. All we get are these crappy genaric shoots where space marine X needs to save universe Y for atleast 4 different games. And then we get crappy military games where marine X must save the world from dictator Y and have multiplayer that everyone yells about yet they still play it. Yet I personally want to play a hentai Qbert and can't have it. Fark that crap!
End rant. Back to my job of scrubbing toilets.
That or import the game and maybe keep a translation guide handy as if it were a walkthrough. PS3's are not region-locked, right?
That said, I already received a reply from Atlus USA, and here it is:
I was wondering why we were receiving so many e-mails regarding Catherine today. Thanks for the heads up regarding the Destructoid article. As far as I'm aware, Atlus USA is obviously going to consider localizing a top-selling game like Catherine. At this point in time, no official announcement has been made regarding a planned release date and all that business, but that doesn't mean we'll be refusing to work on this game. Atlus USA has a policy of never "ruling out" ANY game for localization because you never know when things might change. I hope this clarifies matters for you and eases any concerns you have. Thank you for supporting our previous releases; we hope that you'll continue to keep an eye out for our upcoming titles as well.

I thought you were better than Namco, Atlus.
I'm actually kind of surprised that the QA Lead of Atlus would actually give out the phone number of the company so openly, let alone the extension! I know it's a company formality, but still...
And as long as people write to them and say, "I'd really like to play Catherine" and give whatever reason it really can't hurt. The way I see it, as long as more voices point out the demand it really couldn't hurt in the long run.
you don't really need japanese to play it. the story is fairly simple to understand.
Plenty of games come out on the 360 in Japan and not in the states. Just look at all the visual novels and Cave shooters... and those are all exclusives, too. My point is: just because it's on the 360 in Japan doesn't guarantee a US release by any stretch of the imagination.
