Atlus fans decide on name for upcoming PSP brawler photo

Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble. That's the name. It has a nice ring to it.

If you voted for that one when Atlus was asking for your input, congrats. I voted for just plain "badass" because I wanted to see a game on the shelf that just said Badass on it. My wish will still come true in some form.

Says Atlus' Aram Jabbari: "The title was voted in by a 3-to-1 margin, which means that fans strongly felt it was the best fit for the game, or, that they all giggled uncontrollably at the sight of the word 'badass'. Either way, everybody wins, except of course for the titles not chosen."

For those that picked the name, pat yourselves on the back. You'll get to see the results of your work when this Japanese PSP brawler is released here in the U.S. in early 2010.

I voted for just "Badass Rumble" without the "Kenka Bancho" in front, but oh well. As long as it has the word Badass in the title, it'll be awesome.

I am thinking "Badass" would have been cooler but at least the word "Badass" is still in the title, it's just harder to find among all the other words that don't mean shit to me.

I voted for that one. I thought it was the best compromise between authenticity and accessibility.

That's the one I voted for. I wouldn't have cared if they left the "Badass Rumble" part off, but I voted to include it since it would sound better for marketing.

I voted for simply, BADASS. But as long as it has the word "badass" in it, I'll be fine.

I also voted for just "Badass." I really wish that was the title. I probably would have bought it even though I don't own a PSP.

I voted for this name too. Keeping part of the original name is a good thing.

Guess I'll import this too.

I just voted Badass too, but this title fits.

Now I just hope the game is actually worth playing.

I wanted it to be "Duelin' Banchos" but they wouldn't put that up for vote. I voted for Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble because it keeps the exotic flavor of the Japanese while stating the point of the game in english very well.

Of maybe I just liked the sound of it. Whatever.
