Persona 4 Golden or the fighting game... I'll be happy with either... or hopefully both. If it's a new Atlus game in general I'll be cool with that too. I love those guys.

Compare the splash in the email to the left side of the logo for P4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. It's a localization announcement, I'd bet my life on it. Biggest question is, what do they call it over here? Mayonaka is the japanese name for The Midnight Channel.

Dale, your obsession with the Doug series needs to stop. I know, I know... you say it heightens arousal and you can stop anytime you want. It's just unhealthy. It would probably be less harmful to main-line some Drano.

i hope if this game is successful they would make another Persona fighting game(with characters from 1,2, and 5) as well as Shin Megami Tensei Fighting Arena(include the separate games like Digital Devil Saga, Devil Summoner etc)

I'd love The Golden. I've yet to play a Persona game and I'm planning to get Persona 3 when I get my Vita.
You know what? I hope that Persona 5 takes everything that both Persona 3 and Persona 4 did well. Personally I feel like Persona 3 had better production values, but Persona 4 streamlined a lot of the faults of Persona 3 (or minor annoyances) and had a cast of much more likable characters.
The things I don't like about Persona 4 is that the music gets a little stale, whereas I feel like Persona 3's songs tended to change a lot more frequently. I'm beginning to want to slit my wrists every time I hear the (normal) battle theme for any extended amount of time.
I'm hoping that the next part in the series improves on everything that was good about the last two games, while getting rid of some of the kind of rushed assets that 4 feels like it had.
That's not to say that 4 is a bad game (by ANY stretch of the imagination), but I'd like to see a little more of a 'living' world than we got in Persona 4 (only really 4 locations with anything notable).

I was about to say that, but then I figured he was just a troll... or at least I had hoped that he was. I mean, how can you say that about the one publisher that really listens to its fan base and 9 out of 10 times brings over exactly what we want? Atlus is way better then most now of days.

Quick side note, I wonder if we'll get any extra characters.. actually, if we did what characters would you like to see? I would personally like to see the protagonist from 3 and Junpei. Or heck, win some Jojo points with me and throw in Koromaru!
@Richard: There's been a 'real' SMT game more recently than there has been a new Persona. Maybe you could just be patient and let Atlus rotate its catalogue a bit.
It seems that every cryptic Atlus email get people talking about Persona 5 and only that. I hope they troll hard and won't release until 2014.
