[Update: This is probably a tease for Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. The broken pattern matches the game's logo. Yes!]
Just a bit ago I got an Atlus Faithful email blast that with the subject "____" and a body that consisted of only a black box. What the f*ck? I've had too long of a day for some troll crap like this.
Wait.
I knew the people of the Atlus USA offices are sneaky bastards, so I got to digging in that image file and found that it actually says something. I put it in my favorite image editor, took the white level down and got what you see above. It says "stay tuned" over something that looks like broken glass.
Stay tuned? Like, as in television? Hey, I know a game that has televisions in it.
Am I off base, Atlus? You troll bastards.
Any guesses, Destructoid?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Eh...
(please no...Persona 5, Atlas. Do it.)
>_>
My body is almost ready Atlus. Both Persona 4 The Golden and the Mayonaka Fighter are going to drain my stamina.
CONFIRMED
Compare the splash in the email to the left side of the logo for P4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. It's a localization announcement, I'd bet my life on it. Biggest question is, what do they call it over here? Mayonaka is the japanese name for The Midnight Channel.
If they make it over here... but who am I kidding, it IS Atlus we are talking about...
(I really hope The Golden makes it over)
Dale, your obsession with the Doug series needs to stop. I know, I know... you say it heightens arousal and you can stop anytime you want. It's just unhealthy. It would probably be less harmful to main-line some Drano.
i would definitely would like to see Digital Devil Saga characters devouring everyone from the SMT games!!!!!!!!
I'd buy that in a second.
The things I don't like about Persona 4 is that the music gets a little stale, whereas I feel like Persona 3's songs tended to change a lot more frequently. I'm beginning to want to slit my wrists every time I hear the (normal) battle theme for any extended amount of time.
I'm hoping that the next part in the series improves on everything that was good about the last two games, while getting rid of some of the kind of rushed assets that 4 feels like it had.
That's not to say that 4 is a bad game (by ANY stretch of the imagination), but I'd like to see a little more of a 'living' world than we got in Persona 4 (only really 4 locations with anything notable).
Hoping this game turns out good. Persona themed fighting game could turn out to be really interesting, if done right.
I was about to say that, but then I figured he was just a troll... or at least I had hoped that he was. I mean, how can you say that about the one publisher that really listens to its fan base and 9 out of 10 times brings over exactly what we want? Atlus is way better then most now of days.
Don't assume I need it to "If they make it over here".
I may not be where you are, and where I am, I can definitely get The Golden & Mayonaka games.
No problems though, we're still going to have fun with whatever Persona game it may be.
That is all.
I love you Atlus!
this is that shitty fighting game
Which nobody asked for or wanted
typical
All we want is rpgs from them
