Atlus...I love you. I love that you were able make a game about surgery fun, I love that you made a JRPG where I can shoot myself in the head and still feel impeccably stylish, and  I love you for continuing the trend of awesome with your newest announcement, Summon Night, Twin Age.

While the new DS title is a little more conventionally structured than Atlus's previous offerings, it still looks as if it holds a lot of promise. The in-game footage reminds me a bit of my favorite SNES RPGs, which equals instant nostalgia. The story is about a young girl setting off on a quest to fight evil forces with her creature companion and will feature full use of the stylus for all actions. The title is actually one in a series, although it didn't come to America until Summon Night: Swordcraft Story hit the GBA in 2006.

Here's the official site for you to ogle until the game comes out this May. Adorable!

speaking of twins. I have a twin sister. She works at hot Topic, and we're womb-mates.

GET IT?!!!?!

The 2 GBA Summon Night: Swordcraft Story games were both incredible. I expect the same level of win here.

It looks "more conventionally structured" because unlike Trauma Center and Persona, this game isn't actually made by Atlus Japan. IIRC it's some company owned by Bandai-Namco.

Not sure if want. The first Summon Night was kinda humdrum and overly simplistic, and while the second had much better constructed gameplay, it still just couldn't hold me. I'll be keeping my eye on this one, as the Secret of Mana-syle gameplay looks more interesting than the older game's "Tales of Phantasia Lite" battle system.

The characters are cute though. I love the art style for these games.

I haven't gotten into DS RPG =/, mainly cause I haven't been using the DS as much as I should.

Anyway, I just started playing Rhapsody (yeah PS1, owned it since it came out but just started playing it) and it reminded me why I love Atlus.

Thank you Atlus Namco Bandai I finally may have a game that isnt a shooter to play. Also if anyone has a chance to pick up either of the swordcraft stories do so because they are amazing.

I want to bear Atlas' babies to term. Persona 3 was so neat. And whenever Operation: Darkness and Spectral Force 3 come out, I will have SUCH a crush.

Ill wait until I read about someone actually playing the game, but the video does look tasty.

If it has the same production values as persona 3 and trauma center, we may have a winner.

These games were pretty cool on GBA. With this, Rondo of Swords, and R-Type Tactics, Atlus is definitely giving lots of love to the handhelds lately.

I liked the original series on GBA, mostly because of the obviously awesome time the team had translating the games. I was not expecting internet memes to start showing up, and when they did there were laughs. I would like to see a slightly better battle system however.

I love Summon Night! YAY!
Of course with the new battle system, it should be a lot more enjoyable for long periods of time.

If I had to choose 3 companies to have with me forever, I think it would be Square, Namco and Atlus. God Damn they are good at what they do...
and thats make me happy

I love Atlus. I haven't been so impressed with a company since Working Designs's glory days. Why can no one package a game like Working Designs to this day?

This game looks like shit. Haven't we already played mediocre 1995-era RPG's a thousand times over? What makes this exceptional in any way whatsoever?

@ Tarzanell;

Well, I'm not looking for an exceptional RPG.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind this one. Atlus should keep up the good work. :O)
