It's not like Atlus expects us to be surprised or anything. We told you late last year it was going down, and we've been looking forward to it ever since.

In case you haven't heard, Steal Princess is an isometric view half platformer, half puzzle game for the Nintendo DS.  Atlus says that there are over 150 levels included, a super-powered level editor, and custom level sharing via Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection. This game is said to have some Landstalker and Shining Force heritage, too -- not too shabby.

Steal Princess is set to release in America on March 24th. Check out the official Web page for the full deets.

That sounds like a pretty awesome combo for a game. Hopefully it lives up to its pedigree.

My DS will be happy this year... just like last year, and the year before that, in fact, my DS is alway's happy.

This game looks awesome! After the genius that was Persona 4, Atlus is quickly becoming one of my favourite developers.

Atlus doesn't make their games. They're a publisher. They take niche japanese titles they feel might have a shot over here and give them a localization and publish them. They do only limited runs at a time which is why its next to impossible to find their games after they first come out unless its a re-release or used :(

But yeah Atlus rocks. Though every now and then they'll send over a real turd (I'm looking at you Neverland Card Battles! >:( )

@orpheanjmp: Actually, Atlus does make its own games. Atlus Japan anyway. They make the SMT series, Trauma Center, and Etrian Odyssey, as well as quite a few others. They didn't make this, though. IIRC this is Marvelous.

You're right about Atlus USA though. -They're- just a publisher.

So if this is good, we'll have a game of unlimited fun for ever :-) great stuff! Sounds like this'll be the LBP for DS :-)

Wow! Aside from the terribly annoying vocals in the trailer, this has become my most anticipated DS title of the first 1/4 of '09.

I pretty much buy anything Atlus makes. Nine times out of ten, you end up with something spectacular. This though, I dunno...

Buying a Atlus published game is usually asking for punishment. They do a good job bringing niche games over, and for that they are probably my favorite publisher, because in reality, no one would really do what they do as good as they do it.

Isn't Atlus USA a relatively small operation?

I bet they have a basement full of malnourished localizers chained to the wall ;)
