iPhone users who have a love for Atari should be having a field day right about now. The company has released a veritable glut of their arcade and Atari 2600 games to the App Store with Atari's Greatest Hits.
The software makes available 100 games, sold in a variety of packs for $0.99 each or you can pick up the whole lot for $14.99. Arcade games including Tempest, Crystal Castles, and Asteroids are available along with 2600 games like Yar's Revenge and Combat. And PONG comes free just for downloading it. As an additonal, some games support multiplayer over Bluetooth connections. Spiffy!
This is the program which the upcoming iCade cabinet for the iPad is intended for, though I do hope other iOS developers will design with that in mind because it's so damn neat.
