The super intense and frenetic Nidhogg finally has a release date, set to come out on January 13, 2014 for Steam on Windows. We've been patiently waiting for Nidhoggever since 2010, when designer Mark Essen was commissioned by the NYU Game Center to create a game for the No Quarter Exhibition.
Nidhogg is a territorial two-player dueling game, and one well placed blow will kill your opponents instantly. Those that have fond memories of Bushido Blade, or those that have been addicted to games like Towerfall and Samurai Gunn will want to get their hands all over this one.
Now all we need is an exact date on when Sportsfriends is arriving this month to complete the circle of insanely fun local multiplayer games.
