After commenting, if i click back to post quickly it works fine. if the page fully loads, the link redirects to astro.

OK i REALLY got it figured out this time.

It's set to position absolute, floated left, width 100px but it's the first element within the body tag so it's positioning relative only to the body. (different for every screen)
So on a big screen it'll be way over on the left in the background (not over the astro pic). On my laptop screen it displays 100px within the content and under the 'back to post' link or whatever's on the page.

Putting an outer-wrapping div around all the content within the body, with automargins on left and right and positioned:relative with a set width would fix it..
