Atari has announced Asteroids: Gunner, an upcoming free game making its way to the App Store "soon" for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
People, this is Asteroids -- the official kind of Asteroids -- so I highly doubt you need to be briefed on the fact that these kind of games revolve around the player blowing up, wait for it, asteroids in space ships. Gunner will have with it quite a lot of content for a free game, including 150 waves of both asteroids and alien ships to blow into space hell, power-ups and even one of those achievement systems which will contain more than 200 unlockable achievements.
Oh, and if you have one of those dual-stick controllers for your device good news: this game supports those. You can get all the latest information on Asteroids: Gunner via the game's Facebook page, if you're interested. I mean, it's freeeeeee!
