Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe on XBLA this Wednesday

Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe are hitting Live Arcade this week in the form of a bundle that'll cost 400 Microsoft Points.

Like the Centipede/Millipede XBLA combo before it, Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe will include a hyperspeed mode that, in reality, proves to be more frustrating than fun. There's not much more to say about the game, really. It's Asteroids for crying out loud; you either like it or you don't.

There are plenty of promising titles in the Live Arcade queue, so I'm more than disappointed that a port of nearly 30-year-old game is the best we're being offered. Better luck next week, I guess.
