Is that the only special edition? I was hoping to get a boxed version that includes a figurine of some kind, just like the previous 3 games had.
Support your local privately owned video game retailer. They need your business a LOT more than Gamestop does, and the pre-order bonuses aren't worth it. They typically give you a much better price on your used games as well, so you can trade in fewer old games and get whatever you want without putting down any actual cash.
That's good that it's an auto-upgrade to signature edition and won't actually be some sort of bonus handled by Gamestop. They ahve a nasty history of not actually giving people the bonus because the employees swipe 'em.

I beg to differ; while I prefer to support the ma and pa stores, I've always been able to sell those preorder bonuses on ebay for as much as $75 at auction, paying for my entire game in the process, so the preorder bonuses are "worth it".
It's sad, but true how some people will bid all the way up to $75 for something like a Halo Reach flaming helmet that they can't even see in-game because they're first person shooter character is wearing it! I hardly ever keep the preorder DLC, there's just too many geniuses willing to pay alot of money for them on ebay.... and hey, I get a free game out of it....
Now if there's no preorder DLC offered by Gstop or Best Buy, I'll definitely go for the local guy's shop, even though there's nothing really like that around here in the city of Chicago.

I also wouldn't buy at Gamestop if the game came in a gold case. Amazon all the way. I can't even walk into a GS without almost punching the employees.
I called up some friends of mine to help me decide, but they didn't no either. I ended up emailing Ubisoft and they helped me out :D

Already reserved it at Gamestop and got the Penny Arcade poster. The free upgrade with all the extra content makes it an even sweeter decision.
I hope they have a digital download version of all that on Steam, like the Brotherhood Digital Deluxe Edition. I want it on PC, since I have II and Brotherhood on PC, and I want that extra stuff. Plus I rarely ever buy PC games unless they're on Steam.
