For that ridiculous price I would have expected a more elaborate package to be honest. A hardcover encyclopedia is nice, but the other extra's look bog-standard to me. Anything more than 100 bucks would already be pushing it!
100 euro = $100 most of the time. Retail games are 60 euro MSRP here, but you can get most of them for around 40-45 if you look around. So that makes it 60 euro for the encyclopedia.. hmmmmmmmm.
I got stung with that fake ass batarang that came with the collectors edition of arkyham asylum,the whole package reeked of cheapness,,110 down the swanny,never again.
Im more interested in the Single Player, myself. I like the multiplayer, but I tend to get bored of it after a while. I'll give this CE a miss.
As someone who buys an assload of collector's editions I can honestly say that anything over $100.00 USD is too much for all of that. Sure you get a soundtrack, and sure you get an "encyclopedia" but all of that is not worth 100+ dollars. Well not when other companies release special editions with pretty much the same thing for what a regular game would cost (see Record of Agarest War Zero Limited Edition).

I bought the Brotherhood super special edition (so many editions I don't know what they're called anymore). It came in that sweet box and pretty much included everything this one has as well. Bro-hood had a Codex, this one an Encyclopedia. Except for a map I think. This box thing however looks pretty shitty. I mean what the hell is it? Looks like a cardboard thingy with a print on it. Nothing like that detailed thing from Brotherhood.
I really trust Ubisoft, they didn't go cheap ass on the former one so I'll probably get this one as well. But only if that "box" isn't as shitty in real life as it looks right now.

God, Gamestop's Ireland site used to be a massive pile of shit. I see they have upgraded, looks slightly better now.
Also, if it's 100 it'll be $100, like all videogames, the exchange rate seems to be taken as 1 to 1. Also, 21% sales tax doesn't help either.

The only collectors editions i get are Sony's. they have the soundtracks, dlc, movies and art books along with figurines and they are always $99( other than kz3 which had the helmet and action figure instead of one so it was 130).

The only int interesting thing in that package is the book, soundtrack, and the short film. None of which is worth the 150 bucks to get it.
I always feel like I could put a quarter in one of those machines and get a toy of equal quality to the garbage they constantly pawn off on gamers...to each their own.
I have decided to stop buying collectors editions, just useless physical crap that sits on my shelf. The DLC is the coolest part, but that almost always comes to the PlayStation store and XBL later anyway. :P

Shame that this version probably won't be available in the US, since Gamestop seems to be campaigning with its signature edition upgrade.
Can't say this looks appealing. Perhaps I was spoiled by the excellent Assassin's Creed II Black Edition, but this and Brotherhood's special editions just pale in comparison.

I don't know what the breakdown of sales figures by country looks like for the AC franchise, but it strikes me as an incredibly stupid move to continually deny a "special edition" from what is likely one of the largest consumer bases.
I understand a devs desire to include extra goodies to areas of the world where games will be considerably more expensive, but why keep it from the rest of us? Sometimes I think Ubisoft just enjoys giving Americans the finger, so maybe this time I'll wait until their game goes on sale or just get it used.
