Smokier smoke

If you were thinking that Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag needed more smoke, then you are in luck. An update just came out on the PC that adds PhysX support, so the particle effects can be more complex. In Black Flag this means that there is more smoke, and it should behave more realistically.

I am personally a fan of PhysX, and wish more games would use it or another good physics engine. Arkham Asylum had great cloth physics for Batman's cape, and Mafia II had amazing explosions because of PhysX. I know that a lot of people don't care for the technology, because you need to have a really good PC to see the benefits, and a lot of games don't use it. Hopefully that changes in the future, because nice particle effects can really change how a game looks.

Assassin's Creed IV, point blank, may be the best game in the series outside of AC II. It offers the least amount of real-world trappings for those fans who dislike the sci-fi overarching plot and it features the only true op...
Before you watch this video, know that you're more or less obligated to enjoy it. A lot of good men died for this glitch. If you can't squeeze a paltry morsel of pleasure out of it, then they died in vain, and you're a monster. A monster that deserves to be banished to the depths of wherever the hell the Jackdaw just came from.
Ubisoft has given out notice that the promised Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag update for 1080p and better anti-aliasing is now available for download on PlayStation 4. It's still something of a shock to my system that such functionality has to come in the form of a title update, but when RAM requirements are being lowered through patches, anything's possible!
