Assassin's Creed iPhone details sneak out photo

We've heard things about Assassin's Creed making its way to the iPhone for a bit now. But now we're glad to finally hear something concrete from Japan's Famitsu magazine.

Instead of the scaled down experiece I pictured in my head after first hearing about it, we're going to get a free-running gameplay experience that's supposed to move across ancient cities. Pocketgamer says that the game will come by way of Gameloft, being a sort of brother company to Ubisoft.

It's kind of hard for me to picture how Assassin's Creed would work on the iPhone. I don't know how immersive finger flicking could be. What do you picture this game looking like?

That freeform stuff is crap, it's going to be whack-a-mole with templars' necks and your ring finger.

On an iphone?! Hah! There are so many button commands in the game, there are not enough buttons on the iphone and even if they did manage the put it all in, your fingers would be too cramped. Also, running might be hard, as well as fighting multiple guards surrounding you.

I could see the running controls all tilt functions. Fighting would have to be QTE style or something like that.

Assasin Creed wasn't that fun but the tilt functions is something I could see happening.

Meh, it might be interesting but I can't see tilt running working that well. There is a game called Hero of Sparda that uses an on screen analog stick of sorts for control, it works well actually for a God of War clone. I could see it working here but I'm still not sold on this game for the iphone.

Now it can suck on a whole new platform.

Well I always thought AC's beauty could be done in the same style as Myst. From the lack of actual gameplay, you'd only miss the snappy knife-kills, all of which could be done in FMV anyway.
