So we're 7 months out from release and we're already confirming special editions AND missions being developed as separate downloadable/special edition content.

@MuddBstrd - if your head wasn't up your arse, you'd have checked & seen that AC:B & AC:R both had seperate DLC for special editions. It's not remotely important to the plot - in fact it's generally completely separate, an unconnected side mission that'll give you some slightly different armour or a fancy sword.

Makes COMPLETE and TOTAL sense to make a game with collectibles featuring the American Revolution, then deny the actual Americans who would want those things the opportunity to buy them. Your sales team is either considerably Anti-American or a bunch of fucking idiots.

And yes, you guys are right. Ubicocks have been holding back Day 1 DLC since AC2 so that's not new. It's still sickening to me though, they will not get my money. My local gamestore will when I pickup AC3 used .

Also, I notice this time there are 3 different single-player DLC missions. Usually the most expensive edition comes with all available DLC, but you'll notice the "freedom" edition does not come with the DLC that the "standard special" edition has. WTF?
The greedier these fucking publishers get, the more used games I buy. I saw a financial report that last quarter's profits in the vidya games biz is down tremendously from the same time as the year before. I hope that indicates people speaking with their wallets as I have started to do this year.
