y'all may be hating, but if this wraps up Desmond's story, I'm all for it.

I agree with Dreamweaver. I'm looking forward to it if that is in fact the case. I still need to finish revalations though. This gives me time.
My demands:
1) No more Ezio or Altiar
2) Combat focused primarily on melee weapons, not ranged weapons
3) Takes place outside of Europe and the Middle East
4) The main player character is not Desmond

Personally, I love the gameplay in Assassin's Creed. I posses enough imagination to find enjoyment within a one of the most breathtakingly open and historical sandboxes created in games. I couldn't care less about the plot, but what you can do is fantastic. My biggest complaint comes from the lack of any stealth aside from standing in groups, and how rooftop travel is effected. As long as there were new cities, it was fun to continue exploring.
Wasn't Revelation's team smaller than Brotherhood's? Perhaps the teams were split, releasing the traditional AC experience in one, and creating new material with the other?

@B-radicate - Is China not drastically different enough? Personally, I hope they implement a legitimate stealth component, then also take us to feudal Japan. How many stealth games give you an actual, whole city to use as your sandbox?

Never again. I felt cheated with Brotherhood and Revelations, and annoyed to no end by the full synchronization bit.
@Epic - I really liked the colors and whimsy, but god, that level design was painfully simplistic and the entire game was beyond repetitive. I had more fun with the PoP Trilogy because it actually required several levels of ability-timing and some thought.

Only just bought revelations as it was £25. And almost immediatly lent it to a friend. I'll play it eventually.

@Onyx Leo - No it's not, 3 years is a long one, unless they've built a new engine for it, which is unlikely.
The story alone is enough to keep me away. I dont care if you can ride a unicorn that poops hotdogs, if the story is still about how Athena, Adam & Eve, Leonardo, and Captain Crunch are fighting against the Templairs then count me out.

Never understood why people were crazy about these games. The story and characters are unbearable and the game mechanics are just so-so.
I've gotten really tired of AC2's story/quest progression and combat mechanics. AC3 needs to depart from 2 the same way the second departed from the first. And why did they simply announce AC3 without any hype? This feels like they're purposefully turning all eyes onto E3.
