So, if the leaked list is somewhat accurate... could this mean that the Wii U will come before October 30th?

Wait, I thought there already were three? I guess it's like GTA, except the fact I don't pay attention to AC...
That's nice. While I'm hoping it's a real improvement over the AC2 trilogy I probably won't buy it unless they remove their shitty DRM from EVERY PC game they have used it with and promise to never use it again. Since Ubisoft is full of a bunch of douchebags I have no hope of that happening.
Hopefully this has been in development for some time and has been taking in the comments and criticisms of the ACII games.

"Three years"
Isn't three years, like... A REALLY short development time for a AAA title? I'm pretty sure movie license games take about that long to make... I don't like the sound of this.

Oh man, I stopped caring about the AssCreed franchise since the second title, this won't be worth 50 bugs, just like AssCreed 2. I still regret paying so much for it..... But to each his own I guess.
This is how they announce it? How anti-climactic. If it's coming out that soon, they should have at least put together some nice screens or a trailer to show for it.

I got tired of this series after they started releasing annual updates with the same characters and almost identical settings. I loved the first and second but once it became Ezio's story I grew bored.
I think they had core ideas and a mythos rife with opportunity to build every world uniquely and weave a tapestry of intriguing gameplay across history but instead played it safe and put good ideas on the backburner in order to slowly implement gameplay and more efficiently milk the franchise. Unless they make a radical departure from the recent time period, color me completely uninterested.

Yeah, too bad all fans are burnt out on the series after Brotherhood and Revelations, neither of which I've finished, despite finishing 1 and 2. There was absolutely NO need for Brotherhood and Revelations. NONE.
Don’t have high hopes for this one, they’ve painted themselves into a corner and have to finish the trilogy before September 2012 or else real life is going to overtake their big climax, that’s what they get for dragging it out so much. Maybe the series will get interesting again if they take a break after this and free themselves up to try out some different time periods.
We all knew this was coming. It has to finish in 2012. Cmon. But they shouldn't have done revelations. Too much. Brotherhood I quite enjoyed (mp too), but didn't last an hour in revelations, despite really wanting to know the story. Hopefully this will be a true sequel and tie things up.
I hope it takes place either in China or Japan. Samurai/ninjas would bring that much needed change to the series. Plus who doesn't want to play as a ninja? In China ninjas would be a lot less common but I would imagine there would still be plenty of assassin type professions there anyways. I am hoping for the best and fearing the worst.
Also.. What happened to that BS they spewed early last year about not wanting to make a game a year any more? Talk about a company you can't trust with anything.

Three years ago I would have been excited to hear this news. Now, all I could muster is a "meh", which is sad because I absolutely love the series.

I have mixed feeling on this series. AC2 really needed a fast travel option which makes sense here more than any other game since you are in a simulator. It did some things quite well and other things left much to be desired. The setting and scope are outstanding however the messy climbing and controls often lead to unwanted frustration, also too much forcing you to run around needlessly. I would prefer a new Prince of Persia. but I'll still give it the benefit of the doubt (Though I passed on AC brotherhood and the most recent one.)

I hope so, that's probably what I'll do if I manage to get this game. Honestly the only reason I even want to try Revalations is that the multiplayer intrigues me - and even that is soured by the idea that I'll probably have to rebuy the game every year if I don't want to play in a ghost town online.

I know this series is a thing for some people but it kinda bores me. Congrats for those that are excited though.
Thank God, they've been working on it for three years--I am now okay with this game, it has a higher chance of being the true sequel AC2 deserves.
About damn time. But given the last two games and how it tries to stuff them full of minigame-like bullshit gimmicks, I'm not looking forward to a third.
Seems...too soon if they hope to make something other than another AC2 reskin, unless they have had another team working on it for longer. I would rather they take more time to try new directions than to just give us another polished experience that we've seen 3 times now.
Also I really want this game to be set in Nazi-occupied France. You have the beautiful architecture, jumping over the rooftops of Paris like Quasimodo, and who doesn't like killing Nazis?

I skipped all the inbetween games. I just watched my friends beat them to see the story. I hope this brings something special to the series.
add a hardcore control scheme that doesn't automatically do everything for you and maybe we can talk.
