Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood details (Update) photo

Looks like GameStop marketing has accidentally revealed yet another unannounced title, this time Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Brotherhood appears to be the multiplayer Assassin's Creed title Ubisoft had previously announced for a fall release. The back of the box says players can "Live and breathe as Ezio, a now legendary master assassin, in his struggle to strike at the heart of the enemy, Rome."

"And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style," it continues, before calling it a "never-before-seen online multiplayer experience." A pre-order bonus, a character for the game's multiplayer component, is also revealed.

The promotional art lists the title for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. There's even a first look at in-game screenshots; we'll update as soon as we get a scan for a closer look.

[Update: Just added a high quality scan of the promotional material, which includes a closer look at the game's art and two screenshots assumed to be from the unannounced title.]

It could be good, it could be bad. My connection is way too jumpy to play Ubi-games though, so there's that.

The Assassin's Creed franchise sucks. So boring.

Pass.

I'd prefer if they just made the 3rd one and left it at that. Then make a new goddamn Rayman game.

Hopefully this'll be a DLC sorta thing.... a full retail release for a AC muliplayer only kinda thing really sucks haha. Oh Ubisoft, you just want to be like Activision.

Hilarious comments.

I look forward to this game but I wish they'd hurry up with the plot.

I really like AC but I see little appeal in a multiplayer itteration of it. I guess co op could work.

I can only assume AC: Brotherhood turns every character into a drunken college guy who's only attack is a bro fist.

The first AC was so terrible I can never feel motivated enough to give the sequels a shot. The game was supposed to be based on stealth, but the terrible AI, and how easy it was to counter and kill enemies made the game a joke. Anyone with the reflexes above a sloth could sit and kill guards for hours on end. Of course I am speaking about the first title, maybe the sequels are better, I just don't care to find out.

If this was DLC... and they have a female assassin.. yeah, I might get into this idea! I wouldn't pay full retail for this though.

Cool, but is this what they're considering to be the next game in the series? Because I'd prefer another single-player story.

This better actually be good. I've been awfully disappointed with Ubisoft lately and this is a bad sign that they're putting out a new AC thing so quickly.
Multiplayer sounds somewhat awful, but at least interesting at the same time.
Let's wait and see I guess.

This sounds an awful lot like everything they've been saying will be in AC3. I'm just gonna assume Brotherhood is the subtitle instead of AC3.

Seems interesting... altho I have to actually get AC2 one of these days... Tried it on the PS3 at play n' trade. Didn't like the graphix so much. Preferred the original, but I think an AC multiplayer could be really cool. But would it be missions in co-op? It'd be could for system link campaign missions or slipt screening anyone?

I can honestly say while I played AC1, I never found myself thinking: "Man, this would be awesome with multiplayer."

It was more along the lines of: "Man, this would be awesome if it weren't actually totally awful."

first thing to make me lol today. GJ dtoider.
I remember hearing about this and thinking it was the worst idea for the franchise. Really any continuation of Assassins Creed is the worst idea for the franchise.

Hahaha it makes me laugh that all these people that don't like the game are commenting on an update about it. If you don't like then don't read about it. This isn't a game only about multi-player, if you read it it says that you play as Ezio in the Story. As i see it, this is exactly what bloodlines was to Assassin's Creed. It's probably to establish what happens after Assassin's Creed 2 and to show why the Brotherhood is losing the war in the future.
