Ascaron confirms new Sacred 2 expansion photo

Earlier yesterday afternoon, Ascaron announced an expansion for the PC version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. Dubbed “Ice & Blood,” the expansion will add a new character called the Dragon Mage, several quests, two fresh locations, more items and even more enemies to smack on. Apparently, it will also twist the game’s main story: the posting on the game's official Web site indicates an “elaborate new development” has happened in the game’s fictional world of Ancaria.

We don’t have any more information. No release date or window is mentioned, but the Web site promises that more details are coming in the future. Hopefully this thing includes the console folk as well. We’re ready to hack something new.

Hope this comes out on 360 too. Not as a separate disk either, DLC will be fine thank you very much.

The name for this title is unfortunate in Spanish. It can be read as "vomit-inducing"

I still look forward to the expansion for my PS3 version, I think it was called Sacred 2: where are my damn patches to make the game not lock my system up? Wait, it might have been Sacred 2: why can't I trade in local coop play?

GoW, the patch went live a couple weeks ago, coop trading always worked since the patch.

But, I must say, after some 30 hours playing sacred 2, it dawned on me: Everything that I do is USELESS, since the world automatically levels with you. I can just run like a madman to the ending chapters of the game and kill things, with decent weaponry collected from other characters, the difficulty never changes. That was just lazy balancing in the game. So, there's nothing compelling me to get better.

I'll save my rant about this for a future C-blog, as this is not the only gmae to do it. Yes, I'm looking at you both, oblivion and fallout 3

Bleh, a sequel to an average game. I'll pass.

The DLC won't be ported to consoles until late December at the earliest apparently... so I'm not holding my breath. PS3 owners are still waiting on a port of the patch that PC and Xbox gamers already got. It was supposed to release at the end of June in N.America - but I haven't seen it yet. :(
