Here is an interesting curio for anybody who counts himself a fan of the Legacy of Kain series. The attached gallery shows off some artwork from the canceled Legacy of Kain sequel, including some environment screens.
The screens have been posted by artist Aaron Hausmann, whose shipped work includes Luxor 3, 25 to Life and Sin: Emergence. He has also done work on Medal of Honor: Airborne.
It's a shame that the game got canceled. I was never a huge fan of the Kain games, but I think current-gen systems are due a title starring the arrogant vampire git. On a wider note, this must happen to artists all the time. I wonder how many canceled games stuff the portfolios of videogame artists.
Oh well, check out the rest of Hausmann's work, especially that third gallery for an unannounced title. I want that game, whatever it is.

You hear that Eidos? Get these old games working and available cheap over DD on PC and you get free money!
Also those artworks look kind of gray.
The gameplay could have used some work, but it was worth playing through anyway.
The last one was pure fan service, with one of the most satisfyingly long endings I have seen.
It's a shame they cancelled the next one, but the series ended so well with Defiance that it would have ruined it making another one
re: plotholes - apart from being a brilliantly written series, LoK has the rare distinction of actually BEING ALLOWED PLOTHOLES, since characters often travel through time and change history, which has a domino effect on the future. Basically anything that you experience in the early games might not have really happened. Then again, it might, we're just not sure. Which allows any retcon and/or plothole. Writer's paradise.
I should play through that series again one of these years. I agree with shinryu108 about the plot holes, but its such a unique story with such memorable characters and voice acting that it all just make it work. Most of the time, it really shouldn't, but it does.
I wish it wasn't canceled. It was great to hear Simon Templeman's (Kain) voice in Uncharted, a project Amy was the lead for.
And yes, basically EVERYTHING was made clear in Defiance. Even thing that seemed like plotholes from previous games (*cough cough* everything from Blood Omen 2 *cough cough*) was integrated awesomely by Amy Hennig.
