Vinnie "VinRok" Tartamella is mighty impressive. He's a self-taught artist who loves to dabble in mostly comic-related arts, but luckily for us, he also takes to the occasional videogame character. He is a freelance artist and has worked for companies such as McFarlane Toys, Diamond Select and Bowen Designs, to name a few. His work has been featured in various magazines and comic books as well.
I really love Vinnie's art, my favorite mostly being the Tomb Raider and BloodRayne pieces. Hey, I am a horn dog after all, as my cohort likes to say. And even though I'm practically all Street Fightered out from all of my SF coverage this week, I have to say the retro Street Fighter piece with all the characters on it is very nice. Also, he drew sharks. How could I not add the shark image?
Check out the rest of VinRoc's artwork on his deviantART page.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

I think it's his ridiculous muscles, they aren't like that in the game. Makes him seem less awesome and more like any other action game character.
Luckily, he's Kratos so the art is win by default.
Supergay!
They just look kind of plastic and vacant.
It reminds me of those really bad Darkstalkers and Street Fighter cartoons.
Great detail and color though.
He seems to be drawing the faces from life - a sign he's kinda shy or hesitant to really let the characters expressions have a life of their own, or improvise the same way he improvises with the body structure.
Understandable though, faces are tough. He should talk to MrJunko :P
