This week's Art Attack artist will surely be loved by Chad Concelmo*, as he and SigurdHosenfeld both love Princess Peach beyond anything in this world.
SigurdHosenfeld has a ton of pieces on his deviantART and it’s all mostly made up of Princess Peach and the Princesses of the Nintendo universe. There are quite a few NSFW images within Sigurd’s collection, so be mindful when browsing through.
Most of the Peach images are of her in various outfits and looking quite fine. Out of all of the images, I really like the Princess Peach Piranha Plant suit. That image has been floating around the Internet forever and I'm glad I finally discovered who made it.
Take a look through the gallery and let us know which one you liked the most.
*Anthony Birch will surely hate this week's Art Attack.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
...then I saw Pikaman vs. Donutman. Holy shit, that just made my day. xD
Yeah Peach totally peed there. Yeah.
Yeah, well, [remember to put something funny about Jim Sterling and Rouge here]. I can't say I blame him.
Can you please feature artists that actually make some creative and skillful work, and that don't promote the 'loser, pervert, immature' stereotypes of gamers? Come on Destructoid, let's show that gamers can be intelligent, mature, and socially capable.
It's game related, and the artistic skill is quite alot better than MOST people, and it shows no nudity. All in all it makes for a good art attack friday.
Ligten up people and take that prude stick outta your butt.
Would that be cool, or would you think I was a loser who has never talked to a girl? Is it all of a sudden art and worthy of our attention just because these are game characters made up to look like whores for some guy's perverted fantasy.
This is about having a little bit more sexual maturity beyond a 12 year-old. I would hope that this community would reject the socially-inept, perverted, loner, stereotype. Do we really want to praise some pictures that make a childhood gaming icon out to be a sexual object?
As gaming grows in popularity and more people find themselves visiting gaming-dedicated websites, what happens when they see something like this? Are they going to want to be associated with a group of people who think some dude who wants to have sex with Princess Peach is an 'artist'?
The overall good stuff found in a community like Destructoid will get disregarded because and the gaming community will continue to be marginalized and ridiculed.
Let's grow up people.
To sickNasty, jamesdad et al: My apologies for any offense caused by the pictures of this article.
Maybe it was a sign...
I do disagree with some of the artists featured in Destructoid's Art Attack Friday columns (this artist being among them) as I feel it has a tendency to reward mediocrity more often than not, but it's the people of Destructoid's site and they can post whatever they damn please. If I really have problems, I'll spam ineffective hate-mail to Hamza.
My personal opinion of these works is mixed. I like a few of them--like the Peach-Boo--quite a bit. The rest are a mish-mash in terms of concepts and skill which could, with proper practice, be improved a great deal. I say this about a lot of the Art Attack Friday artists and it applies here as well. Most of what we see in AAF ranges from simple middle school sketches to some post high school work that really does not stand out from other fan art you could find with a Google image search. Nearly all of the AAF artists have some talent but they're simply not there yet. That's cool.
What I personally have a bit of a problem with is how so many go out of their way to sexualize their works. I'm by no means a prude and if you want to draw gargantuan breasts with nipples that stick out like turkey thermometers and vaginas with labia the size of pancakes, that's cool too. Just don't think you're doing your art any service by doing so because all I believe it does is lower your work to the lowest common denominator among the juvenile mindset.
Again, don't get me wrong--nipples, boobs, vaginas, penises, it's all good--I just wish more people could present them with a little more taste and maturity.
"What I personally have a bit of a problem with is how so many go out of their way to OVER-sexualize their works."
Not all of those criticisms are necessarily leveled at your work, though I'll admit that I may not have differentiated enough to easily tell.
You're also correct in hinting that I have limited exposure to your body of works so my assessments can only be based on what has been presented here.
Your works vary quite a bit in terms of your craft and in such cases I tend to wonder whether some were simply earlier sketches that the artist had published. That seemed to be the case with several of the previous AAF artists, I believe.
There is quite a bit that most of us do not know but I will stick by my assertion that you do possess some degree of talent and what you do with it is up to you. A lot of artists that I've worked with simply decide to let themselves stagnate for whatever reason and that's that. However, two (out of ~60) made the effort to refine their craft and weaknesses and have become much better artists for it (one is a graphical designer in L.A. and the other is currently an inker over in Japan--though they both do their own work on the side). So yeah, it's your art and skill, you get to decide what to do with it. That's how I see it, at least.
Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to experiment with some different subject matter. A little variation is never a bad thing.
I promise you, I'm not offended in the least bit by your art 95% of the things that come out of my mouth are more offensive than your drawings. However, I really don't think your 'art' belongs in AAF. But I guess when you go through deviant art to find artists this is the kind of stuff thats going to come up sometimes. I just think having something like this on the site promotes the already negative image of gamers as horny pre teen boys who see all women as sexual objects. This is why I don't really like this up on the site.
On another note, I find your obsession with a fictional character to be extremely unhealthy, and the fact that you paid others to render art of you and your obsession is fairly disturbing. That said you do what you please as long as you aren't out hurting other people I don't really care one way or the other.
As for your 'welcome' here, you seem to actually post with regard to other peoples feelings and with some thought. So as far as that goes, you are welcome in my book. I don't mean to put you down which I may have done, you are clearly a better artist than I am (doesn't say anything at all), but I think you need to branch out a little in your art...
I'm not offended by anything, people can do whatever they want in their spare time whether I agree with it or not. I also don't really care about the quality of the art, as that is always going to be subjective.
I just hope Destructoid is a little smarter in what they choose to promote in the future.
I call shenanigans.
