Art Attack Friday: MrJunko

     Art Attack Friday

As it is Community Blog Promotion week, I thought it would be a good idea to feature another community member for this week's Art Attack Friday. So this week AAF is all about MrJunko. You may have seen some of MrJunko's art on various posts by Fronz and Savant on their regular weekly features.

As you can tell, MrJunko has a unique style to his art. He likes to take characters and turn them crazier versions of their former selves. Or in some cases, into beer versions ... of their former selves.

I think my favorite piece has to be his Ski Free piece. This game was extremely horrible but it was always addicting. Seeing the son of a bitch Yeti in the picture brought back a lot of good memories. And if you have to ask why there is a shark picture in the gallery, then you obviously don't know that I'M A SHAARRRK!

Junko's art is great in a disturbingly awesome way.

And you have to give props to a guy who sticks to real pencils and colors when everyone else is making the jump to digital. It keeps his stuff unique in that way.

I've said this elsewhere, but it gives me joy to see one of the finest (arguably the finest) games ever to come preinstalled on Windows 95 be commemorated in MrJunko's artwork.
