Army of Two: The 40th Day slated for January photo

Remember how much we all hate it when videogames get released during the end of the year and it's virtually impossible to play all of the good ones? Do you also remember how companies are afraid to put out their games during the same time as Modern Warfare 2, which happens to be coming out near the end of this year?

Where am I going with this and will I please stop asking f***ing questions already, you ask? My point is this: now that so many big-name games are being pushed back, the first month or so of 2010 is going to be saturated. Instead of being crowded in October - November, now it'll be crowded in January. Brilliant.

Anyway, Army of Two: The 40th Day has been dated for January 12 of next year and is making it to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and even PSP. If you decide to pre-order, you'll get the "Extraction" multiplayer mode, otherwise you have to wait for exactly one month for it to be unlocked.

For whatever reason, I'm more pumped for The 40th Day than anyone who has literally only played the first mission from the original game ought to be. Anyone else?

It looks interesting. I just hope they fix the crummy aiming from the first one.

It's so true about the overcrowding of games in January. Luckily I have a birthday in January. Isn't it great how these things work out?

here's a question for you, Mr. Devore: What exactly makes you so giddy for this title, and how does it differ from the first one?

Originally, I was really disappointed with Ao2. Then my brother and I started playing it together and we had a friggin' blast.

Now he and I hunt out all the co-op games we can find.

I don't think January is going to be as crowded as it seems right now. Games will be pushed again. And again.

I wonder if the fiftieth cent will make a cameo in this game too.

What is coming out in January? Darksiders, Bayonetta, and now Army of Two 40th Day. Bioshock 2 and Final Fantasy XIII won't be released until March or April.

I wouldn't wanna go againt modern warfare 2 and it's night vision awesomeness either. Can't blame em for that. I thought the first was bland, honestly prefered Kane and Lynch. Higher hopes for the sequel though.

lol

For the short and extremely laggy sessions of the Multiplayer of Army of Two, it was damn fun and different.

My GF and I picked this up a week ago for $20 brand new as we wanted to spice up our videogaming sessions.

We beat this game in two sitting for a total of 4-5 hours of play time. WAYYYYYY to short, but for $20 it wasn't a bad deal at all.

I totally meant the 1st Army of Two!

It's not like I went into the future and bought this game after a price drop or anything and it's not like one character dies at the end or anything.......

I paid £50 for the first. That was £10 an hour. I was fuming, but I enjoyed the game while it lasted. Here's hoping that's been DRASTICALLY improved here.

I was excited until they announced that they were toning down (or removing?) the bromantics. That was the best part of an otherwise competent but not really standout cover shooter.

I'm more excited at this point to see how many games get pushed back to Q2 to get out of the way of all the games that have been pushed into Q1. Because at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if we were seeing "holiday 2009" games dominating the release calendar for holiday 2010.

A lot of people think RZA, but I like Ghost Face Killah ... but then, I haven't heard the U-God album yet. Have you heard that?

I fucking rofl'd at that.
