Armored Core 4 demo out now on Xbox Live photo

If you're like me, you probably haven't played too many mech games in your lifetime. You are the type of person that won't even pay a few measly dollars to rent a game in this niche genre, much less drop $60 without knowing if you're going to fully enjoy the experience or not.

Luckily for us, we now have the opportunity to play Armored Core 4 without spending a dime. Major Nelson gives word that those living in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico can now download the AC4 demo from Xbox Live Marketplace.

Unless you are already accustomed to the series, there is a good chance you won't instantly fall in love with the latest addition to the Armored Core universe. But who knows, you may discover that you actually like this sort of game after all.

Metal Wolf Chaos is hands down the best mech game ever, also made by "From Software". Needs a 360 version. AC4 has boundaries that if you go out is an automatic mission failure which is very annoying. Controls are overcomplicated and could of been simplified, I had to put down the game after 15mins due to hand cramps.

As a fan of Armored Core since I bought Project Phantasm for the PS1 when I was 12, I must admit that this isn't the easiest game to get into if you aren't already a fan.

The controls may seem difficult, but trust me, they're nothing compared to the archaic shoulder-button-aiming set-up they used for the earlier games.

Guys, this is Armored Core at its simplest.

At it simplest and its worst... I was one on the 10 people on earth who bought Virtual ON Marz and even I find that one better than this.

We need Virtual On for the 360 with LIVE PLZ!!! A remake of the first 2 in one disc would be the best shit EVAHHH!!!!!
Can you imagine the awesomeness of 2 vs. 2 over xbox live?!? Oh I just made myself cry....
