Sounds like we're gonna get to drive the Batmobile!

Remember when they wanted this out by this holiday season? Yeah, I'm glad they're actually developing it properly. If it's better than the first game it'll be legendary.

Is it just me or does the cover seem to hint at Batman/Catwoman co-op?

I think I just wet myself in excitement.

the batman/catwoman relationship is rather...complicated. i hope they do a good job with it.

Love the name. I'm glad they went with that rather than "Arkham Asylum 2: (subtitle)" or something. And that cover with Batman and Catwoman together is truly badass.

The first game single-handedly made me a Batman fan after years of "meh." I can't wait for the second.

I think this will be a lot better than 1, imo. They'll have an opportunity to put more content into the game outside of audio logs and un-fun danger rooms, and make the combat system more robust.

Catwoman has got me a little worried. She's a character that is easy to balls up (see the Catwoman film for a brilliant example of how amazingly bad things can go) and it's not like they got all the characters spot-on the first time around (i.e. Joker towards the last twenty minutes). But I like the idea of it being set in the city itself now, which will hopefully provide a slightly more varied setting than Arkham Asylum did. And so long as they bring back Harley with Arleen Sorkin then I'm happy.

Makes no sense (since Arkham did not establish the city) but it works for me!

Boss fights were mostly a letdown in AA. If they could fix that this could be perfect.

I guess people need to complain about something. But the images look tight and I'm excited.

Er, scratch my last comment. Apparently "Arkham City " means a new, large prison/asylum in Gotham -- not the open streets of the city itself. So the levels could still be structured similarly to the previous game.

I hope that it keeps the 'metroidvania' feel from the last game, and if it's big enough to involve the batmobile, as awesome as driving it could be, if they can't do it right, I hope that they don't do it. As in, go to batmobile, open menu and select destination. As much as I would love to drive the batmobile, I don't want the game brought down by wonky driving.

I have faith that this game will be awesome, but I still worry that they'll get too much on their plate, though the delay to post-holiday release assuages that fear.

@ goodguyA - that was in the first trailer too. They also hinted at the penguin and (oh god let this happen) Black Mask.

I love how these images shed new light on the Dark Knight's blatant S&M tendencies. What a perv. =)

If they make the fighting a little more satisfying, give a little more variety in the boss battles and keep/enhance what made the first game good, then this could be a dead cert for GOTY.

The name sounds logical, but not 'right' to me. 'GOTHAM ASSYLUM', methinks, would've been a much better idea,

LOVE the new Batman design tho. I found the ears -and the whole head dome in general- too 'high', or stretched if you like, in the first game's design -just look at the game's cover to see what I mean. The face in the new mask looks more refined and expressive to me, too. And even his body's proportions seem more clean and realistic now without leaving out the comic-fantasy realm feeling. If only they'd add the white lenses to the mask, so blatantly absent in the first game, that'd be the icing of the cake.

I'm DYING to get this one. The first one was the best Batman game I've enjoyed since Konami's 'The Adventures of Batman and Robin' many years ago, and I think this second outing is going to be even better. Only bad thing about it, it seemed to start a trend I don't quite like; Batman is Batman, but Spider-man is no Batman, and it seems that the web-crawler incoming game is trying too hard to stick to the Dark Knight's newfound recipe for success. I hope that it doesn't become the norm, and all of a sudden every superhero-based videogame turns into an AA clone. Each game's formula should stay true to the character it's depicting, and, while AA's formula may suit, say, a Moon Knight or Black Panther, or even a Wolverine game for obvious reasons, wouldn't work as well for, say, a Superman one -and for the same reason, I don't think it fits Spider-man neither.

But whatever, as I said, I'm DYING to get this one :):):)
