Arkham Asylum 'Prey in the Darkness' DLC out tomorrow photo

Following last week's "Insane Night Map Pack" for Batman: Arkham Asylum is the "Prey in the Darkness Map Pack." Similar to the previous free content, this bundle will contain one Combat map and one Invisible Predator map. Also, it's once again one-hundred percent free.

The "Heart of Darkness" Combat map takes place in the pumping station area of Arkham Island while the "Hothouse Prey" Invisible Predator map will be at the abandoned glasshouse. My memory must be deteriorating, because I don't really remember that first locale.

The two maps will be available on PlayStation Network exclusively in North America starting tomorrow. In the UK, the add-on is downloadable for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and should be online now.

I wish it was the other way around. I would just use my UK PS3 account to grab the download...oh well...

I keep trying to move on to another game since I've done everything in Arkham Asylum, but whenever I read about it, I keep re-evaluating another playthru on the harder difficulty. I'm addicted.

The pumping station was that smallish, rather briefly-played area, above that largest room of the sewers, near the end of the game.

The harder difficulty is fun if only for the fact that you need to be very good at hand to hand combat since the enemy's visual attack cues are removed. I thought it struck a good balance between being frustrating and being challenging.

@Sentry - oh yeah, now I remember!

Will the DLC see release here in the states on 360 at some point? 'Cause I'm considering picking this up for Xmas, and that would be sweet if it did.

Meh...Hard.

While the "top of the head" visual cues are gone, a huge on-screen prompt that says "press y to counter" still shows up before their attacks, and its still spammable.

Its worth a shot, I guess, but its completely doable the first time around.

The way Batman sprayed the exploding gel into the shape of a bat always reminded me of the way annoyingly cutesy girls dot their i's with a heart or smiley face.

@Magnalon,

That message only pops up in the beginning and once you've MISSED several counter opportunities.

I just finished my hard playthrough (WOOO Platinum!) and I only encountered that counter message maybe 4 times during the whole game.
