Arctic Strike DLC launches today for Future Soldier
Well, here's the first in what I can only assume will be a long series of DLC for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The "Arctic Strike" pack is out today and includes three new multiplayer maps, a new Guerrilla co-op level, the "Stockade" multiplayer mode, six new weapons, added achievements, and a raise in the level cap of ten. The name "Arctic Strike" is sort of misleading here, because you'd assume most (or all) of these levels would have something to do with snow. It turns out that only the Guerilla map is the snow level. Oh well, I'm down with any snow level at all, as I really am a sucker for them. Having said that, the other multiplayer maps are still a welcome addition, especially since what was already on the disc didn't feel like much. And for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99 for PSN users), "Arctic Strike" seems like a great deal if you've been clamoring for more Future Soldier. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)To bad the game was crap. Its like they took all the good ideas and team aspects from the beta, threw them in the garbage, and just gave everyone overpowered guns and said "here, play COD in third person". Seriously upset with this pile of crap. I still postulate that the worth of a game's MP is dependent on the human element. Coming from the NES era, and forcing my neighbors to game with me, as well as every friend I've ever had, who all could care less about games, I pretty much get "Koala crapped a rainbow in my brain" syndrome every time I start a MP match. I will never cease to be dumbfounded when I enter a lobby and no one's using a mic, praising whatever God or Gods or lack thereof that there's even a human element to play against. I'm curious, as I chose gaming over organized sports long ago, is sportsmanship something that's been phased out of athletics over time, and thus carried over into "digital sports", or does the lack of real-world consequence appeal to the closet sociopaths who pretend to be people? Sorry. Over-eager to play this DLC and blew my load way too early. Josh, I'm sorry for your experience but there are people who do like to play the game...well, like a Ghost Recon game. This is my first one and I've got plenty to learn but even I can pick up on the whole "play your role" element. Know that you can do your part to combat the average jerk off by staying in the game, maybe you'll eventually meet enough people to keep the jerk off level to a minimum. If anyone actually likes this game and wants someone to play with on PS3, feel free to request my friendship. I can not give you victories, only good times. Unless they are conjoined twins in your eyes. 1:30 PM on 06.19.2013 Post-release DLC for The Bureau hits Xbox 360 firstHere's footage of tactical gameplay in The Bureau: XCOM Declassified to go along with the usual news that, yes, post-release DLC is happening.
