Only comics I read is dc comics, only started reading them in September because of the reboot making it easier for noobs to get into comics, demon knights and justice league dark are my favourites
Now why can't Capcom and Sega make a game adaptation of this? this would be an awesome game in 2.5D like Sonic generations.
Yes, there are definitely people looking forward to this. Sonic and Mega Man were my two favorite video game characters growing up. :D
Though i like the comics, I would prefer if this was an actual game. Sega and Capcom are all a silly bunch.
I'm a fan of the Mega Man series of comics, but just never been into the Sonic one.. and you say this is a 12 month thing. Is there anything in the press that says that the Mega Man only comic is on hiatus for that whole year Tony? Or will this be another series and the original series will run regardless?

I actually made a booboo, which I've corrected in the post. The arc spans 12 issues, yes, but not across 12 months. It'll be split across Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic Universe within the same four-month span. There isn't a separate off-shoot comic just for the crossover.

Mega Man needs to continue being in games. He rarely falters in his solid, robust adventures and people want more of him, but Capcom doesn't want to give in to those demands. They won't even keep Inafune on speed dial like Nintendo did with Sakurai.
Meanwhile, Sonic needs to stop being in games for a good while. He hasn't had a worthy game in ages, and by now the only reason he's still around is because of his hip persona. He works well in almost anything but games at this point, yet Sega still insists on pumping them out.
That's not to say that I don't look forward to this crossover, but at the same time it feels like the last bastion for betrayed stars.

I'm loving this, but I resent Silver being used as the counterpart to Bass. Silver is the most nothing, unnecessary Sonic character of the recent age (aside from Chip) and does not deserve to be involved in this.
So you're telling me that fan fiction writers have gotten old enough to get real jobs churning out the same slop they have been writing for 20 years?
I do not read the Sonic comics, and I know very little about Mega Man as a franchise. But this is still too cool to pass up.

Have you played a traditional Mega Man or Sonic game lately? Hard-hitting narratives aren't exactly their high points. Besides, the Megamix and Gigamix manga are "just fan fiction," but they are beyond a doubt the greatest stories ever told in the Mega Man universe.

It is not about trolling. Megaman and Sonic games where some of my first I have ever played, so have a certain love for the characters, but the "fiction" behind it is mindnumbing. A six year old has more interesting stories to tell than anything that came out of sonic or megaman ever. I think my brain would implode reading this.

No. And I wouldn't read Ristar, Decap Attack, Crash Bandicoot, Rocket Knight or Super Mario Comics either. Comics are all about Story and I don't think cutesy Jump & Run games are suited for that stuff. I mean there is almost no ground to build up upon. Every Sonic game that tried to do story besides the whole Robotnik (Eggman whatever) turns animals to robots thing was atrocious. The 8-Bit Megaman games had almost no story whatsoever. Megaman and Sonic do not have much character either. Especially Sonic. What is Sonic ? He is fast and blue, that's it. It just seems to me like a pretty shallow premise for a comic book. Is there Sonic or Megaman fiction out there worth reading ?

That's some boss cover art, but the inclusion of Silver the Hedgehog in anything makes that cold thing happen to my stomach. I guess there is no escaping him at this point. He's part of the mythology, to my eternal regret.
