Remember last week, when we mused on what a possible Arc System Works teaser featuring BloodRayne might be? Turns out it's just a Japanese release of WayForward's BloodRayne: Betrayal. Aw, shucks. I was hoping for something a little less vanilla.

Dale even came up with some grand ideas as to what "BRCS" could stand for, and now that the countdown's up on the official site, it's time for some crushing disappointment. Or happiness, depending on how you feel about the franchise as a whole.

If there does happen to be a new BloodRayne title to ever emerge from this, let's hope a reboot is in order a la Tomb Raider. Personally, I'd love to see some changes.

Review: BloodRayne: Betrayal

Very few people can claim to love BloodRayne as a franchise, and there's a reason for that. The original titles were critically derided, the series of Uwe Boll movies are particularly grotesque, and the comic books are obscur...more

Have some new BloodRayne: Betrayal screens

BloodRayne: Betrayal releases this month and HNNNNNNNG, I can't wait. I've waited five bloody years for a new BloodRayne game, and not even Satan's penis could stop me from getting hold of it.  Unless it's a really nice penis.  Anyway, here are some new screens of the game, which is looking more pretty every time I see it. Game's out August 31, which is far too far away.more
