Personally, I'm had enough of Capcom's Phoenix Wright games, which is why I'm pleased that they've announced Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS.
Unlike that old, wash-up Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice is a rookie defense attorney who visits crime scenes, questions witnesses, and collects various pieces of evidence. The cases are whacky, the characters are zany, and ... wait, is this some kind of Phoenix Wright sequel or something?
As the first Ace Attorney game designed specifically for the Nintendo DS, Apollo Justice adds some new mechanics to the series, including the use of the handheld's microphone to yell "objection" and "hold it." The game also features a new "Crime Recreation Mode" that allows players to re-create crime scenes. See, this is a totally different experience.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is scheduled to hit stores in early 2008. Cross your fingers for a sweet legal-themed pre-order item.
CAPCOM® BRINGS APOLLO JUSTICETM: ACE ATTORNEYTM TO NORTH AMERICA
A Fresh Member of the Bar is Sworn In for the Popular Nintendo DSTM Legal Adventure Series
SAN MATEO, Calif. — November 9, 2007 Capcom® Entertainment, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that the latest installment of its highly popular courtroom drama series, Apollo Justice™: Ace Attorney™ is scheduled for release in North America in early 2008. This is the fourth game in the series and the first developed specifically for Nintendo DS™ and sees a change of direction for the story line with the introduction of new defense attorney Apollo Justice and a host of new characters. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
Players star as rookie defense attorney Apollo Justice as he visits crime scenes, questions key witnesses and collects vital evidence before stepping into the courtroom to prove his clients’ innocence. Facing Apollo across the courtroom is the highly talented and flamboyant prosecutor Klavier Gavin who, in addition to being a legal genius, is also lead singer with Gavinners, a highly successful rock band with a string of hits to their name.
He may be young and inexperienced but Apollo’s confident manner and passion, coupled with his unique ability to uncover witnesses’ lies by studying their body language, will prove invaluable assets in the courtroom as he pleads the case for the defense. Thankfully, Apollo is not alone and is aided both in and out of the courtroom by his assistant Trucy, a mysterious female magician. Apollo also receives invaluable advice from his mentor the ultra-cool Kristoph Gavin, elder brother of Klavier, whose perfect logic and natural instincts have won him numerous cases and the respect of his colleagues.

I've had enough of the PW games, pass on this one.
I'm playing through Trials and Tribulations right now, and if it's like the second one, then I think I'm done with the series. The first game was brilliant, but the second one was a letdown. And yeah, you've been able to yell "Objection!" and "Hold it!" and "Take that!" since the very first Phoenix Wright games. I think it's just that the Japanese weren't, since they originally came out on the GBA.
Epic win!
Dexter, you didn't like the second one? Why Not?
Also, I want a preorder official gavel so I can bang it when I finish a case. hellz. yeah.
Anyone would know you play phoenix wright 2 and 3 for 1 reason and 1 reason only. Story.
This is actually going to be the Ace Attorney game worth getting for people who don't quite know what to expect.
but... but... Trials & Tribulations has, like, tenfold the amount of spirtual voodooitry. I'm sorry you and Dexter didn't like it much; I enjoyed every word of it. And that last case was a real doozy... kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
...and that's my first and final statement about this.
/the clown is down.
NOT!
I'm not interested, but my sister will love it.
No, Maya, this is SPARDA.
It's been out ages in japan, but this is the first game not to have english in the japanese version.
Did anyone play through the first game? You did? Good - That's all you need to see. The game hasn't changed one bit since the first version. Yep - It still sucks.
