Ape Escape 4 is coming to Europe photo

This is almost a Captain Obvious post, but hey, I'll take any excuse to talk about Ape Escape 4 that I can get. Not seeing the game at E3 10 was easily one of my biggest disappointments of the show.

Sony still seems resistant to doing anything with their PS1-era franchises, probably out of a desire to keep up their self-perceived "cutting edge" image. You'd think they look at all the money Nintendo's making off their +10-year-old franchises and get the hint; nostalgia sells. A lot well off +25-year-old gamers were big fans games like Ape Escape, Jumping Flash, and Parappa the Rapper in their teenage years. If Sony wants to fully cash in on their wistful longing for their youth and disposable incomes, they'd do well to bring all three of those franchises back to the forefront.

Anyway, Ape Escape 4 is definitely coming to Europe. Are you hyped? I know this guy is.

I would love to get a new Ape Escape for my PS3. I'm a slave to my nostalgia sometimes.

This makes me happy. I didn't like the story or characters in 3, but I love tactical monkey catching action.

I've liked every main Ape Escape game to varying degrees, so I'll probably get this one once it drops to like $50 or something.

Also, I would LOVE a new Jumping Flash and Parappa!

How about a Parappa PSN game? Seems like a pretty good fit.

Do want! I LOVE Ape Escape. Am I the only one that liked the party game spin off? Me and my friends had a blast with that game.

Only played Ape Escape 3, but I really liked it. I'd love more high-definition monkey-catching.

I didn't even know there was an Ape Escape 3!
And hell yeah i'd love more Parappa the Rapper! Hmm, what would people have thought of UmJammer Lammy if plastic guitar controllers had been invented back then?

I CAME!!

Seriously, it scares me sometimes how much I love this series. Given the series' traditional controls it does seem like a perfect fit for Move as well.

Just about finished replaying "Ape Escape". Nostalgia is addicting. I'll probably have to visit my crack dealer for 2 & 3.

Then slap/harass/abuse (Violence, lots of violence) him around a bit till I realize 4 isn't even out yet... Yeah I've got issues (admitting is the first step).

Man I loved the first ape escape, although I disliked what happened to the franchise after that. Definitely hoping AE4 will be a lot more like the first.

No you are not! I loved that game too. I played through the whole thing with my friend. That game got unjust reviews of it. Especially from X play! Screw Mario Party, Primed and Pumped is much better! Also WOO HOO APE ESCAPE! :P They better bring it over or I will import!

Yippe, it's coming to the UK! I do hope it is also release in North America because this game deserves it.
Ape Escapers in Europe put you hands in the air and wave them about like you just don't care!

Peace out, one love

But seriously, the most important part: PLAYABLE SPIKE.

Ape Escape 2 would have been perfect if Spike was playable from the start, but instead you had to play as Jimmy *shudders*

Ape Escape 3 was fun, had interesting ideas, but the distinct lack of Spike only surved to bring the game down.

If Spike is indeed returning for Ape Escape 4 I am all kinds of happy. Jake and Natalie don't hurt either (is it bad I'm this serious about my favorite game of all time?)
