Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

AOU 2008 is taking place in Japan right now where Capcom is showing off several games including Street Fighter IV. The gang at 1Up snagged some footage of the game giving Street Fighter fanatics a really good look at how all the revealed characters in Street Fighter IV look like in action.

The above video is the trailer for all the characters revealed so far. It's actually really neat as a new character enters as the previous character is defeated. Also, new levels are finally shown off!

How's it looking to you Dtoiders? Three more videos after the jump.

Ryu vs. Honda

Cinematic battle between Viper and Chun-li.

Viper vs Abel

Dang. Guile ripped Zangief a new a-hole in that trailer.

I could watch Chun-Li all day. I don't mind Viper as a new character, but I'd like to at least have Cammy back as well ...

Wow, E. Honda and Abel got their asses beaten. I’m glad they chose to show off some new stages (finally) with these videos, and now we have confirmation that Abel is French and Crimson Viper is American. Great footage; I get more and more excited for this game each time anything is released!

Guile's super looked amazing! Mainly because of the camera angles, but still, that looks bad ass.

Have to admit it's starting to look better than the screenshots make it seem. Also, I appreciate the fellow who took the video, but Jesus, auto-focus is the devil!

I personally think this is going to be awesome. I welcome change. Change is good, cause otherwise your just buying the same thing over and over again.

I REALLY love Dhalsim and Honda in motion on this. Could still some some animation glitches, but overall looked solid. The only thing that bothers me is some of the throws looked really weird, but Zangief's spinning piledriver was awesome.

You can have you complaints with the character models, but I don't think anyone can complain with how fluid the animation is. It looks damn good, with the exception of how E.Honda falls (1:20 in the first movie). Yea, videos!

Holy shit.

I never thought I would ever see spam on my D-Toid.

Phail.

That said, the game looks great in motion. Really awesome animation, fluid as hell.

And I'm soooooo glad to see a new stage. I'm starting to really get sick of that stupid street.

Awhile back I did have some doubts. But seeing it more fluid (in-motion) very impressive. Just wish we could play it here in the states (sigh if arcades were still around).

*Chun Li's biggest comeback, hehe. =D

Still not down with this game. It looks like and sounds like it plays almost exactly like the EX series (which i was a fan of). still really miffed that its not a super fluid sprite based game . It would be nice to have Street Fighter back on top of the 2D fighters again(sprite). Also the prequel thing pisses me off; whats next the alpha series taking place after 3. The new characters look like there from an SNK game, not that thats a bad thing. Maybe it will be better the that 3D Fatal Fury crap.

Reaprar- Caring about the story in SF is lost cause. You're better off with Soul Calibur.

Or not.

Anyway, I'm sure Bison and Sagat will be back for SF IV. I'm not saying I want them back, but everything we know about SF IV thus far indicates that it's going to be SF II plus polygons and a few new characters.

I never thought the character models looked that bad. Let's not forget it has a long time to go before it's released people.

This game looks amazing...if it plays as well as it's animated it could very easily become the new standard for 3D fighting games. I played SFII and all it's incarnations in the arcade first and foremost...here's hoping I can play this one in the same place. BOO-fuckin-YA!

Chun Li looks were good, and you could complete.ly forgot she has a penis in that game.

Looks great in motion. C. Viper seems more and more like an SNK character (like Kyo and Raiden mashed together) but that's alright because she happens to be made up of the parts of the ones I like. Plus I like that touch of how her elemental attacks are button activated on her clothes.

Abel on the other hand still looks really generic, but I felt that way about a lot of the SF3 characters and they were still fun to play.

Seeing it in action, my doubts about the game are gone. Do want, and now! The question remains... where the hell is our SSF2 superhyperturbo HD remix?
nicojay's Avatar
nicojay at 02/15/2008 07:31
I was on the fence over this. As far as I can gather this is SF2:Super Turbo with polygons, which suits me fine as I stopped playing after super SF. I have tried SF3:TS and SF:A3 but never put the time in with said titles.

Holy Fuck! Now that is officially awesome.

Great friggin trailer. I am now interested in OWNING this game instead of just reading about it.

One the other hand, I am somewhat disappointed at the lack of attention to penis detail in that trailer.

They set our penis hopes so high only to almost leave them out completely.
