One of my favorite platform games of all time is arriving on a mobile device I can actually play it on. Eric Chahi's classic Another World has reached its 20th anniversary this year and a new edition of the game will be releasing to Android devices on March 16. The release will feature enhanced visuals (as well as the original graphics), three difficulty settings, two control schemes and remastered audio. So, it's basically the iOS release from last year, but on Android now.
Another World is a game that I like to turn on for people, telling them nothing about it, and watch how the game unfolds over the course of an hour. It's amazing how easily it conveys not just information but emotion. Plus, it's really funny to watch someone play a game with such cruel trial-and-error elements.
