As if someone posting the formulas for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, the Colonel's fried chicken, or any other "Trade Secret" that is highly protected isn't going to incur some kind of action.
Really? Did nothing wrong? So helping release the root key of every PS3 on the planet, allowing any emo hacker fag on the internet to go wild on the PSN, including banning and unbanning everyone's account at will, isn't a problem for you?
I thought Anonymous was smarter than this. I was hoping they'd release a statement about how much GeoHot fails as a hacker for breaking the two golden rules for being a hacker: don't use your real name, and don't gloat about jerking off on everyone else's good time. If this egotistical code monkey was just about getting Linux on their PS3 again, they already did that without the use of the root key.
Hey Anonymous... I don't WANT Sony going out of business, they actually make pretty good hardware. The little respect for them is now gone, as they've clearly forgotten what they originally stood up for. Won't be long now before some of them start making military-grade stupid mistakes, get caught, and end up spending Buck Rogers time in jail for their antics.
they already done things that will be serious threat to the freedom of speech on the internet pulling exact same moves as China did in the past. every single media outlet was reporting it, but somehow nobody cares when sony is pulling exact same crap. they got a fucking court order not only to get personal information on every single person who visited sites & forums containing information and files made by Hotz, they can sue every single person. basically every person who visited those sites even by accident(or just out of sheer curiosity) was degraded to level of pedophile.
not to mention all changes they did with EULA that automatically makes everyone who agrees to it forswear any rights even to your own home console(while at best you should only be banned from PSN). additionally:
your warranty means nothing to sony since in EULA is stated that not only you agree not to do anything if your ps3 will get bricked by firmware updates or any problems caused by sony in the future(you got YLoD and still have warranty, well good luck it doesn't matter anymore),
you can't pressure sony to issue additional updates for games(so even if game will be full of bugs and exploits from day one you can't do anything),
sony can disable both software and hardware as they please - so not only you can be banned from PSN, your ps3 can be bricked and you can't do anything about it(which by the way is against the law).
not to mention you either will sign it or your PSN account will be deleted so yeah, let's all cry on poor sony and those bad, bad hackers.
On the bright side, I was forced to make all of my passwords more secure when Gawkergate went down.
Steam on Anon.
"If you want to steal a game do it on the PC and leave the consolea alone"? You are gobsmackingly fucking retarded.
by fucking those customers in the ass repeatedly? read what i wrote, read what is written in new EULA and read all past news about this whole case. where the fuck do you see "protect the customers" part cause Sony's CEO said himself that playstation owners don't own their consoles and SCE can brick any console whenever they like cause apparently they won them(so those 300-600$ you spend on ps3 was a contract fee).
Sony, such a "great" consumer-friendly company.
Ahahahahahaha. By the definition of how these guys are set up, "undivided attention" is pretty much impossible.
No need to destroy the lives of these young men by attempting to financially ruin them.
People think Sony is evil because they go out of their way to destroy lives.
Why doesn't Sony go after someone who is actually pirating software?
Y'know?
Welcome to 2011 doorknob.
That's the way shit works now. Companies like Sony need to be able to protect game dvelopers (their internal customers), and this is what they need to do to do it.
Your comments are even more ridiculous just because of your mad hatred of Sony. If this article were more specifically about Microsoft you'd be a little quieter and you know it.
No hacking= no piracy? That's a very simplistic view. But judging by the rest of your Sony dickriding diatribe, its expected.
